I loved the way this felt but, like others, I was covered in small red bumps which appeared similar to heat rash where I had applied the sunscreen oil. These bumps lasted over a week and, in my case, they itched for a good portion of that. I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but I am sensitive to this.

I happened to have a dermatologist appointment and after looking at the sunscreen ingredients she recommended I avoid it given my reaction. After I looked more closely, I noticed that it contains various citrus oils for its pleasant scent. Unfortunately, those familiar with essential oils know that citrus essential oils contribute to photosensitivity.

I don't know if the oils made the sunscreen give me the reaction or something else, but after testing it a second time, I confirmed that the Supergoop! oil was the culprit of my reaction. I gave it to a friend and told her to spot test it before using it all over. That's my recommendation to you as well.

I was so excited for this product because I love love love Supergoop! I have fair/rosy skin with lots of freckles when exposed to the sun. I need to wear a sunscreen almost everyday as I live in the south and 5 minutes in the sun turns me bright red. I hate feeling coated in a thick layer of greasy,sticky,heavy sunscreen and was overjoyed to discover the lightness and incredible effectiveness that Supergoop! offers. The oil seemed like a fabulous addition to my sunscreen line-up... BUT... I had a terrible phototoxic reaction after using it. Everywhere I had applied the oil, my skin was covered in red/raised/itchy bumps that lasted for over a week. I tested it one more time to make sure that it wasn't something else but alas, it was the Supergoop! sunscreen oil. Word of caution: apply to a small test area and expose to the sun before applying it all over :(

I live in a sunny climate so I apply it every day, and I think its the only sunscreen that's really prevented my skin from tanning at all.

It's easy to apply. It is not tacky and it leaves my skin feeling soft.

I love that it doesn't leave any white residue on my clothes/purses/seat like every other sunscreen has. I keep the travel size in my bag to reapply.

A friend recommended this product so I gave it a try, but it leaves my skin feeling too oily when I'm using it. However, after I use it my skin feels noticeably softer. I'm not a fan of the initial feeling - but it works well as a sunscreen and leaves my skin soft.

I think this product is wonderful for body sunscreen, but I wish it sprayed more efficiently. The actual application is really difficult because each pump only dispenses a tiny spray. It leaves your skin smelling and looking amazing if you can get it everywhere without giving up on it. And as someone who tends to pink up on a foggy day in SF, I wear this all the time.

I bought this last May and thanks to this sunscreen this summer was the first time I avoided a burn and consistently wore SPF 50. It smells great and makes my skin super soft. It is a bit oily (I put it in a ziploc bag just in case) and needs to be rubbed around to get full coverage, but it definitely did not rub off on my clothes and seemed to last through sweating and swimming.

Loved having this as an on the go sunscreen. Smells great and isnt heavy like most sunscreens yet it provided ample coverage.

Usually when I use an SPF I get patches of irritated skin and clogged pores. I had no problems with this sunscreen. It seemed to protect well and had an easy application. I haven’t yet tested it’s water/sweat resistance so the jury is still out there.

I used this product and still managed to get burned from being outdoors.
