Ever since we watched the first season of “Gossip Girl,” we’ve been huge fans of Blake Lively’s flowing waves. So we were excited to learn that the blonde actress was the inspiration behind Kérastase’s new serum. Specially designed for long hair, the leave-in treatment adds a high-definition shine while sealing each cuticle (bye bye, split ends). Plus, the light, gorgeously scented formula won’t weigh down your strands.
I received this in my Birchbox as a sample and was put off by the tiny vial, but was pleasantly surprised by the product after the first try. Although the packaging is quite inconvenient, I have been using this for more than a week and I'm only maybe a third of the way through the vial (for my chin-length hair). It is a very effective product, it makes my hair soft and manageable to style and my hair looks soft and shiny all day. I'm buying this with some Birchbox points to soften the blow of the cost, but I know it will last a long time and be worth the expense because of the cost per use.4
This is a really nice hair serum. It doesn't leave your hair feeling greasy, heavy, or pasted down. It's a bit pricey, but would the kit would be perfect to put on a christmas list.4
Smells great, but doesn't work wonders or anything. It does what it is supposed to, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it.3
I added the product to the ends of my hair as the directions stated, and although it DID seem a bit shinier, it was NOT any less frizzy. I already have a similar product that I prefer to use, so I will not be purchasing this one.3
Gosh everyone is so different, for a lot of people it was too heavy or oily, for my I needed MORE moisture. By the end of the day my hair was dry, but most things made with cones do that to my hair3
My hair is curly and has a tendency to get frizzy so I need a hair product that can kick my hair's a**. This serum did not do so. It smelled amazing and smoothed out my hair a bit, but overall I still had frizzy head! It might work for someone whose hair doesn't need much help.3
LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. I only wish the sample would have been larger and/ or easier to use.4
This would be fine if you had thick, long, straight hair. My hair tends to be fine and is wavy/curly and thus doesn't benefit from a serum designed to tame flyaways.3
As a kerastase product user, I was happy to try another product that works great with my hair. Just a couple of drops makes my hair shiny and have less frizz.4
I am very nervous about hair serums with my hair type because it is very easy for my hair to look greasy/ dirty. I used this only on the ends of my hair and I really do like it. I used it on towel dried hair before I blow dried only bc I never have good luck on dry hair with this sort of thing. I gave half of the dmaple to a friend who has dry/damamged/ frizzy hair and she loved it on her dry hair.4
