We never seem to have a headband when we need one, like those times we’re trying to salvage a bad hair day or running on a treadmill with sweaty bangs. Happily, these hip elastic bands are remedying the situation for good. Perhaps the most versatile hair accessory ever, they look equally awesome paired with your workout gear or a sweet sundress. This six-pack comes with a variety of fun colors—from orange to turquoise—to match every mood and outfit.
The headbands, much like the ponytail holders, are essentially scraps of elastic with a knot in them. After trying the headband, I still can't fathom why anyone would choose to pay the ridiculously inflated price for these when you could get a great headband from an athletic wear company (not mentioning brands here) for the same price, and you'd get something that is both better constructed and stays put better.1
Maybe I have the wrong head for it, but the headband wouldn't even stay on my head for more than a few seconds. It kept slipping right off. Perhaps if there were a silicon strip on one side of the headband it would stay in place much better, or if it had a couple 'teeth' to tuck into the hair.1
My March box had the headband and it was so cute and silver and shimmery, but since I'm growing out my hair from a pixie cut, the headband just looked awkward on my head. I gave it to a friend with longer hair because it was a shame for it to not be used.1
Stretch headbands never stay on my head for long, and this one was no different. I will say that even if it stayed all day I wouldn't purchase them simply because the product isn't worth the cost.1
The product kept slipping out of my hair. I liked the color and the packaging but it wasn't for me.1
Wanted to love this, but after one use it was shredded around the edges... didn't have much of a grip either, and slid from my head mid-cardio.1
I have an odd shaped head and these types of elastic headbands rarely fit my head. This one did not. It was really pretty though and I loved the glittery color.1
This is the most pointless sample ever. The only time I would use this is maybe when I remove my makeup or use a face mask. Slips off my head when I do wear it. Would rather just use a ponytail holder. I will never waste my money on this product.1
I just don't think this sample is for me. I don't wear headbands.1
I was excited to try this headband since headbands don't usually stay on my head and I thought the princess roll hairstyle would be fun to try. I put this headband on to brush my teeth, which isn't a very movement-intensive activity, and by the time I was done, it had fallen out. I was disappointed, but not surprised. The product is a piece of elastic with a knot in it. I've made better things as a child at a family gathering. Seriously. When I tried to put it on the crown of my head for a princess roll, it just fell off.
I have a normal-sized head, so it wasn't an issue of size. I usually wear headbands for working out and I wear the one with a velvet lining so they don't budge. I'll be sticking with those. Maybe I can use this one as a dog toy...
