The beauty industry is all abuzz over products featuring honey extracts, and with good reason. The bee-derived ingredient naturally hydrates hair, leaving it soft, shiny, and manageable. A key element of this gentle conditioner, honey extracts work in tandem with hydrating organic calendula, which leaves hair silky and helps detangle. The lemon verbena–scented formula is also free of harsh ingredients, including parabens, phthalates, petrol-derived ingredients, and artificial colors and dyes. And if that weren’t sweet enough, the brand donates a portion of proceeds to support honeybee research at the University of California.
Bees are very important in our human lives just to live and be able to sme that fresh air of ours but we still kill bees on sight but like absolutely not! If you do that stop, and save bees from water but this conditioner felt like it did the job. The smell was so lovely and bees has even more benefits for us it's amazing the least we could do is help them!
3Win-win-win. Totally functional conditioner, wonderful warm honey scent without being cloying, and company contributes to bee research, critters that are vital to the survival of our natural environment.
Only giving 4 stars because the packaging makes the bottle a bit hard to squeeze. Could improve on the plastic, but perhaps it was chosen because it has a lower environmental impact. If that's the case, it'd be good to know and I wouldn't be critical then.
I really wasn't impressed with this conditioner, although Birchbox seems to think I need it since I've received the sample 2 or 3 times. I have very long hair and didn't have to use much, so that was nice. The scent was very mild. However, each time I used the conditioner my hair seemed to be much more frizzy than usual.
2If you look closely, this is the same brand you find at a decent hotel. In other words, free....I would never buy this. Waxy and not moisturizing. Same with the matching body lotion. Really doesn't do anything but smell okay. Not terrible...but just not worth a purchase. BIRCHBOX, please do not send me this brand anymore. Thanks!
