Twiggy fans, rejoice: This London-based brand's liquid liner lets you create mod looks in a flash. Rather than frustrating us with a hard-to-control brush tip, it features a pen-style applicator that's completely goofproof, allowing you to control the thickness of the line you create and vary the intensity of your look. Plus, the fade-proof formula will hold up all day and night. Beauty editors adore it too: This liner is a Teen Vogue Beauty Awards winner.
I purchased this and had to return it because the pen was completely dried out. I see from the more recent reviews that others have had the same problem. It seems like a gamble - some people get a perfect product and others don't. Sad, because this sounds like it should be my dream product. Eyeko: Please up your quality control game!1
I loved the full sized sample of this, so I bought the product. The first day I applied it, it came out dry and streaky. I figured maybe it just needs a couple of uses, but I was wrong. It's been 3 months, and this eyeliner has never ever been the thick, black eyeliner that I came to love from the sample. I used it everyday for 3 months, applying it first, and using the sample over it to fill in the gaps. I was too busy to go buy a new one, and I kept holding out hope that it'd magically work one day. What I total waste of money. Seriously, a $16 eyeliner that could have gone in the garbage on day 1. I'll stick to buying from Sephora and saving money on S&H at least.1
I've been trying to find a liquid eyeliner that works as well as my gel kind and I had high hopes for this one, but it failed horribly. It goes on grey, not black, and I find it nearly impossible to get it to stay on, even with primer. I'm sad this didn't work out after all the great reviews I saw, but I guess it's just not for me.1
when i tried applying it for the first time, i found it incredibly hard to actually get any liquid out; it's like the pen i received was already dried out. i tried shaking it multiple times but nothing came out and it was incredibly hard to use. disappointed!
In reading the reviews, I find I'm not the only the one experiencing a completely dried out liner. I was able to use it for only a short time before it was unusable. (Some people were smart & asked for a new one, I should have done that!!) This is one of my favorite products, I've received from Birchbox & when it works, it looks amazing. But this product is not worth the money.1
I've read so many great reviews on this, but it didn't work for me at all! The pen dried up halfway through my first use, leaving an odd, streaky line of eyeliner that looked awful. Every use since has been exactly the same. I love the idea of this product — if the actual liquid liner worked with the applicator, it would make eyeliner so easy! But, alas...it didn't work at all for me. Won't be buying again.1
I wasn't a fan of this product. It's hard to apply - although the shape of the liner brush is great, it's hard to apply. I had a hard time getting the liner close enough to the bottom of my eyelid so there was a small gap. I went back in to fill the gap but the brush was actually removing the liner.
The eyeliner does not last throughout the day and easily rubs off. I would not recommend this eyeliner especially for people who live in warmer climates / or the summer time.
I LOVED the sample. Gave it a rave review and recommended it to a client and friends. When I purchased the full size, it worked well for one application and then was completely dried out, like a highlighter with the cap left off overnight. I tried storing it felt side down, and then I asked for a new one, thinking maybe I just had a defective one. The next one was also dry - like it had been used up already. I'm not sure what's going on with their manufacturing, but I used the sample like crazy, every day, and these full size are totally bunk. Really disappointed, and embarrassed I recommended a product based on the rocking sample.1
I don't wear things this rock and roll. I don't even like eyeliner, but seem to get one in almost every Birchbox I receieve. I wouldn't wear this ever!1
Purchased an eyeliner for my mom for mother's day after she enjoyed the sample. The liner arrived so dried-out that she could not use it. Noticed similar cautionary reviews for the full size product on other sites mentioning a prevalence for drying-out. The full size pen my mom received was also a silver pen, not the black pen shown. Buyer beware in this case.1
