These pretty glosses have been bestsellers for years, and it’s easy to see why: the sheer pink-toned hues are universally flattering and the pen-style applicator makes them easy to apply. (We should know—we have put them on in the back of many a cab.) Plus, the built-in vitamin A, C, and E keep lips from drying out.
I have received samples of this in Starfruit and Apricot. I like the design of the product and the applicator is pretty nice, but the glaze is just WAY too sticky for me. It looks nice, but it feels gross on my lips. And of course, my hair immediately gets caught in it every time I try to put it on. Prefer other lip glosses to this.2
Like the color I got in March BB. I was not feeling the pen tip. It leaves the tip too sticky. Also it's too glossy when use alone.3
I really do love the color and applicator...but the product itself is far too sticky for me. It feels heavy and thick and does not hydrate my lips at all. I love Stila, but this product...not so much.3
I love the pen-style applicator on this Stila brand lip gloss. The color and consistency of this product are great too!5
The best part about stila lip glosses is the unique applicator and packaging. You roll the clicker on the bottom and it propels drops of lipgloss through the attached brush at the top. I've seen other companies do this since (stila was one of the first) but rarely do they work as well as stila's, which has an even distribution and flow. The only thing I don't like is that the brush and top can get germy and dirty after you use it a lot. The gloss itself is thick and you can definitely feel it on your lips, so don't buy it if you don't like that.4
Never would have tried this if I hadn't received it through Birchbox. Feels so good on your lips & the banana color is my fav.5
This is my go to lip gloss! It is a bit sticky, but really long wearing and the Kitten color looks good by itself or to us as an overcoat on lipstick!5
Love the color, love the feel of the gloss… fight with the applicator every single time! I will twist according to instructions, wait wait wait, nothing, twist a little more, wait wait wait and BAM! Too much then you can't use the brush, then it gets all over the inside of the cap. TAPPED out, don't want to fight any more.2
Pros: solid pigmentation, looks good over lipstick, looks good on its own, long-lasting, sweet scent and taste, looks great on most skin tones
Cons: very very sticky
If you can't stand sticky glosses, don't bother with the Stila lip glazes. If you don't mind or prefer sticky glosses, this is a good one to try out.
I'm a huge fan of Silta - especially her eyeshadows. However, I am not a fan of the lip glaze. Although, the colors are great, it leaves your lips sticky and does not last long at all. I had to constantly reapply all day.3
