Let’s start with a disclaimer: most hair treatments are more or less conditioners masquerading under fancy names. Not so with Ojon’s creamy balm, which goes beyond moisturizing to actually repair many types of hair damage—from split ends to uncontrollable frizz. A unique pre-shampoo treatment, it transforms into a rich oil upon contact with the heat of your palms, and it’s designed to be applied directly to dry hair. After just one use, your hair will be stronger, shinier, and softer.
This conditioner wasn't the miracle I was hoping for. I have heavily highlighted hair. I liked it enough, but with the hefty price tag it's not something I will likely repurchase.3
For the price of this, it's insanely time-consuming to work through the hair, it has a bad smell, and it isn't miraculous in it's results. My hair is thick and curly and it did the work of a leave-in-conditioner (Which I can get for 1/3 the price). I can see how this might work better for someone with maybe more color damaged hair or fine hair.1
I am constantly dyeing and styling my hair, so I love pampering myself with a good hair treatment to keep my locks healthy. Ojon is a brand I've been wanting to try for ages, so I was quite pleased to give this treatment a go. This is a proper hair mask! This isn't the type of thing that you throw in during a regular shower and rinse out a couple of minutes later. Instead, it's thick and meant to coat your hair for at least 20 minutes. Applying the oil was a bit messy due to having to be warmed up in your hands first, so there was a bit of a learning curve. And it was definitely a little uncomfortable sitting with greased up hair for nearly half an hour. However, after shampooing it out and letting my hair air-dry, my tresses felt soft and revitalized for the first time in years, so I'd say it was definitely worth the trouble.4
This treatment is one of my favorites; one I always have on hand when needed. It has a rich scent, and its thick consistency makes it very easy to apply. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, and makes my color treated hair much softer and shinier.5
I used the product and left it in overnight like some had suggested in the reviews. The next morning, I washed my hair 3+ times to try and get all of the product out of my hair. Even then, my hair was crunchy from the product. The next morning, I finally got my hair back to normal.2
I remember using Ojon's damage reverse Restorative Hair Treatment a few years ago. My hair was bleach blond and SO damaged. I was desperate to repair it without cutting all of my hair off. This Ojon mask really helps! I thought that for how damaged my hair was, it really conditioned it. The only thing I would be wary of is that it smells a little strange. Kind of herbal. But if you don't mind that then this is a good choice!4
This stuff smells so good. Bonus it works well. I slept with it in my hair overnight and the next day my hair looked amazing. Great overnight product.5
although my hair tends to not do so well with oils that aren't completely natural, this works for my hair. I put it on before every wash and wait about 20 mins. the end result is soft and manageable hair.5
It did make my hair feel softer, but it's temporary and doesn't last. Perhaps if I used it weekly it would show more results, but my sample was small and I could not test that.3
I have thin, fine hair, and this was just way too heavy for me. My hair was limp and stringy after using it.1
