Consider this mascara the no-fuss alternative to falsies. It deals lashes a one-two punch, adding both length and volume to keep them looking anything but lackluster. We love how the formula doesn’t run or smudge, even after a whole day of wear, and gives our lashes a natural-looking curl without weighing them down. The jet-black color makes eyes pop, and it’s especially great when you’re trying to achieve a dramatic night out look. You’ll have to convince your friends that you’re not sporting faux lashes.
I found that this mascara did a good job of separating the lashes, although I found that the pointy tipped brush that separates the lashes to be difficult to use and poked the eyelid. That could be a function of the small sample size though. My bigger disappointment was that the bottom lashes bled all day long, creating a dark circle that I did not like.1
This is one of my favorite brands. It may be a little pricey, but I still love it. I however cannot wear mascara on a daily basis due to having very sensitive eyes, but if I could use it all the time, I'd probably buy benefit brand. I have naturally long lashes and I wear glasses most of the time, so I really only bust out the mascara for special occasions when I make myself tolerate contacts for a few hours. I gave this sample to my sister. It was her turn since I divvy out the mascara samples to close girlfriends.1
I'm very partial to the mascara that I routinely use (Tarte's Amazonian Clay). I actually have already tried a sample of this and it just doesn't do it for me. I like my lashes to really pop and this just wasn't dark and thick enough for me.1
I like a fuller brush and this brush is very thin. So many people love this product, but it was not for me.1
I've used this mascara many times (more than it deserves, but I kept wondering if I was doing something wrong since everyone else seems to love it). I hate it. It clumps ridiculously or you can't tell that it's there.1
I feel this mascara clumps up very easily. I have thin eyelashes and was excited to try this out. Disappointed1
This mascara clumps. Not for me. I don't get why people like this. I have other mascara that doesn't clump so there's no reason to settle for second best.1
This made my eyelashes look like clumpy spider legs -- totally not subtle -- totally not attractive. No thanks!1
The product did indeed create a little curl in my lashes, but it was a little too thick. It was almost too thick to apply, but that could have been the sample size. Not benefit's best work.1
I know this mascara has a very loyal following, but I just don't like it. The formula is really liquidy to me and I can't stand the wand. I'm no novice when it comes to mascara (or make-up in general), but I swear I stab my eye everytime I use this mascara. I end up with spidery lashes with little separation and too much product. Length wise, this mascara is great. I really does lengthen, but I've never liked it for volume or separation.1
