Consider this mascara the no-fuss alternative to falsies. It deals lashes a one-two punch, adding both length and volume to keep them looking anything but lackluster. We love how the formula doesn’t run or smudge, even after a whole day of wear, and gives our lashes a natural-looking curl without weighing them down. The jet-black color makes eyes pop, and it’s especially great when you’re trying to achieve a dramatic night out look. You’ll have to convince your friends that you’re not sporting faux lashes.
I have gotten this sample in my Birchbox several times and continue to try it but just doesn't seem to work for me. I like other mascaras a lot better than this one.3
I first tried this when it came out. I was super stoked after I bought They're Real I went home and applied it immediately sans lash primer. I wish I would have put on a base coat before hand however, because the product seemed to flake right off my eyelashes! I probably wouldn't buy this product again unless there was a change in the formula.3
I have pretty long lashes to begin with, but this mascara did a good job of enhancing my eyelashes. If you're not careful, it does have a tendency to create long, jagged lashes, as opposed to long, soft lashes.3
I liked how this mascara lengthened by lashes, but it did not volumize them at all. Kinda disappointed because I heard such great reviews about this brand and was very excited to try this mascara out.3
I own this mascara, I want to love it, but each time I go back to it I remember why I don't. No matter what I do, it smudges throughout the day. Also, it tends to clump easily.3
I have used two tubes of this mascara. I tried to like it, but I find it clumpy and dislike the brush. I felt like it gave me spider lashes.3
I've heard so many people who love this mascara but I really dislike it! It's too heavy and doesn't hold a curl in my thin eyelashes. I was so disappointed when I saw this in my birchbox because I know I'm so picky when it comes to mascara.3
I really wanted to love this mascara because so many other people love it- and it definitely gives me a full but light eyelash look! However, the applicator was way too harsh on my sensitive eyes. It's a relatively hard plastic, and it pulled on my eyelashes and bothered my eyelids. I'll definitely check out other Benefit mascaras to see if the applicators are different.3
I received a sample of this a while ago at Sephora and I didn't like it then, either. I like the fact that the brush has bristles around the end to get the lashes on the outer corner, but that's about it. Its not that I don't like the formula, because I like most of what Benefit does, but the brush just cakes it on my lashes and doesn't separate them at all. I know brushes like that work for a lot of people but definitely not for me.3
I LOVE mascara. To me it is an everyday staple. I find this mascara to be overated. Yes, it adds length and what not, but it gets SO dry throughout the day and it irritates!! If you have sensitive lashes, this may not be for you. It DRIES out the lashes! I wouldn't not use it, it is just not my favorite.3
