It’s a common misconception among guys that a T-shirt is a T-shirt. Not so. This T-shirt is a work of art. Dispensing with the typical baggy, boxy cut, this tee pays homage to the past while cutting a distinctly modern silhouette. The Brando Cut is an ideal shirt for going out, staying in, or, you know, hollering that special someone’s name in the streets (though if this is your style of choice, odds are you’re a good deal more advanced in the science of seduction than Brando’s character in A Streetcar Named Desire). I have already bought two more than the one i got in my birchbox. i love how comfortable they are! awesome shirts!5
Great comfortable t-shirts. Not a long cut so great for layering under a button down or so soft you might want to sleep in it. Love these shirts!5
These shirts fit very well and I get good use out of them. They will shrink a tad after first wash4
I'm a bigger guy, 5'11, broad shoulders, and around 230. The quality of these tshirts seems good, but they are definitely not flattering on bigger guys. They're cut short, and the sleeves are definitely meant to show of your muscle, so if you're packing a few extra pounds and lacking some major guns, I'd probably skip these.2
I'm a big t-shirt guy; fitted, relaxed... style above all.
The fabric Barking Irons uses is great- ultra-soft, however I found the cut to be too fitted for my preference. The sleeves were annoyingly short, almost like a woman's cap-sleeve and anyone who doesn't have the proverbial 'gun show' may feel the same way - and this coming from a guy who lives in tanks in the Africa-heat summers that Central CA provides.
Got one of these in my July box, Olive Drab. Unique cut, but a great change-up, and fit me well. Unfortunately, it stretched out of shape and started unraveling after like 3 washes. I washed it on delicate, and even let it air-dry. I'm not gonna dryclean a t-shirt, and at >$20 a copy, I can't see myself ever grabbing these unless the quality improved GREATLY.2
I love the shirt that came in the monthly box - it fits great and holds up well.
The ones I ordered are equaly good quality, but are a little different size despite being labeled the same. The large that was sent is a bit smaller than the large that was ordered; I wish I had ordered a medium.
When I received the gray shirt as a sample in my Birchbox, I knew I'd be buying the two pack. The shirts are amazingly soft and durable. I've already put the black one through a few washes and it's very sturdy. The fit, I'm small, is just perfect, like the shirt was sized to me.5
This shirt seems to be well made, and the cotton is certainly comfortable. However, the fit is a bit baggy and I had to cut the tag from the side seam.2
. . . goes a long way. The cut of these shirts will be odd to any normal-T-shirt-wearing man. But that's what makes them so great. That little attention to detail helps the shirt hang just right -- making it almost the "dressy" of T-shirts. If you equate Brando with cool, these T-shirts are Brando.4
