As self-confessed blow dryer addicts, we put our hair through a lot of stress. To keep our strands from a styling-induced meltdown, we've been using this extra hydrating leave-in conditioning mist. It doesn't just protect hair from heat damage; it also doubles as a color protector and UV shield. The sulfate-free formula sinks in quickly and has a pretty floral scent thanks to white freesia, amber, and musk. Natural conditioners—including black currant, soy yogurt, algae, and yerba mate—combine to restore hydration to dry hair, while the unique UV/Color Polar Shield protects dyed or sun-exposed locks. Soy and vegetable proteins repair damage caused by heat and chemical styling. And don't forget about the defrizzing factor—anti-static technology tames flyaways, making hair more manageable and easy to style.
This is the first time that I have used Number 4, I've actually never heard of it before to be honest. I actually really like it. My hair didn't feel greasy which tends to happen when using hair products or heavy. Easy to use and has a great scent which wasn't overpowering! Would definitely be interested in buying a full size.5
I found that this spray really detangled, though I'm not sure how "protective" it is. I like the scent-- it's a little sweeter than I typically like.4
I love this stuff and I have bought it twice. Perfect after the shower for detangling, works instantly. You can't feel this product in your hair at all and a little goes a long way.5
I have some rather temperamental hair. It can get frizzy, and has a lot of volume, even for a pixie cut, so I am nearly religious about using leave in conditioner, so I was excited to try this spray. The smell wasn't great, I was expecting something that smelled less like chemicals and more like the product description on Birchbox, but it wasn't terrible, either. I applied only this spray and some hair wax for styling. Even after one application, I noticed that my hair seemed shinier, but it's not as smooth to the touch as I'd like. I haven't flat ironed it with the product yet, as I'm currently giving my hair a break from heat, but I would wager that doing so would make a difference for my hair type. I did like that this is a spray instead of a cream as it leaves my hair feeling lighter and not so coated in product as the creams tend to do.4
Works like any other leave in that I use. I do really like that it's sulfate free.4
I really like that this is conditioning, as well as adds color protection AND heat protection. The sprayer mechanism in the bottle is also a good one- gives a nice even spray. I have a lot of hair, but it's very fine, and this didn't make my hair greasy at all. The sample is a generous size as well. My only reason for 4 stars over 5 is that I prefer the Beauty Protector brand over this one just a tad since it's a lower cost while doing very similar jobs- both brands I knew nothing about until birch box came along.4
This product did untangle my hair and left it somewhat silky. I have definatly used better. (And worse too I guess). But the smell reminds me of medicine!3
It has a nice scent, not too overpowering and clean. It works well. My hair is soft and work well as a detangler.4
I use this product when I know I will be using the blow dryer curling iron or straightener I feel I can really abuse my hair when i use this product5
leaves my hair smelling fresh and soft and helps detangle5
