We’ve long been fans of English Laundry’s Notting Hill scent for men—so we were thrilled when the brand came out with this brightened-up version just for the ladies. This fresh, classic scent opens with notes of bergamot, mandarin, and cassis. The heart of the fragrance is pure walk-in-the-garden bliss, blending jasmine, rose, and cyclamen with herbal and green notes. Warm wood, vanilla, and amber round out the scent.
I am in my 50's and this scent is perfect for me. But, I have gotten the most compliments on it from 20-something women, so I guess it has an appeal that transcends age. It is warm and inviting (woody, powdery with jasmine as the leading floral scent, to my nose, anyway)and it has reasonable staying power, which is important to me. I love perfume! and love using a lot of different scents, and this one just makes me happy.
5I liked it and might use the sample when the mood suits me but it did not make me feel any kind of emotion. I like perfumes that give me a feeling of calm or joy. This was just sort of there. Pleasant enough but could not hold its own after 30 minutes. I spray perfume on my wrists. Sometimes if I need a little boost during the day, I smell my wrist. The coconut vanilla scents put me on a beach. The flowery scented ones give me a little bounce. This product just says hey, everything cool?
3This perfume smells different than anything I've tried before. I wasn't sure I'd like it but I did after trying it It only takes a small amount and lasts all day. I've never really had a perfume that did that. The price is a little high but I might purchase it.
