Redness-prone gals and rosacea sufferers have it tough. Sun exposure can make symptoms worse, but chemical and perfume-heavy sunscreens can cause flare-ups too. Get back outside with this fragrance-free moisturizing sunscreen. Created by board-certified dermatologist Dr. Julie Pena, the SPF 50 formula is designed to protect your skin and simplify your skincare routine.
This moisturizer did not agree with my skin. I felt like I was wearing a mask. It is fragrance-free and does moisturize but I just didn't like the feeling of it.1
This product was not at all for me. I rubbed the Likewise Facial Moisturizer into my deeply complected skin...and rubbed...and rubbed...and rubbed some more. And after several minutes of this looked as if I was prepping for kabuki theater. I have no doubt in my mind that the Likewise product protects its users from the harmful rays of the sun, but I have to be willing to go out in it first. I realized later that I haven't the wrist strength for continued use. Trying to rub this moisturizer into my skin will undoubtedly give me carpal tunnel. Better luck next time.1
While this product may work well for someone whose skin is more to the dry end of the spectrum than the normal end, I found it to be too think. I like that it has SPF 50, but perhaps because of that, I felt it applied heavily - more like a sunscreen than a moisturizer. I will stick with other moisturizers whose SPF may not be quite as high, but don't feel as heavy & clogging to my skin. The reason I rated "neutral" on the recommendation to others is that I do think this might be a good product for someone with drier skin, but I think it is too heavy for normal skin tones.1
This gave me a serious breakout after using it. While using it, it left a milky hazy on the surface of my skin.1
I have dry skin,so when I saw this was for dry skin I was glad to try it out. However, as opposed to being moisturizing, this is just plain oily. I do like that it didnt *feel* oily (it actually felt like it was absorbed really quick) but the look was beyond *dewy*.. it was like schlepping through a hot and humid rain-forest for 5 hours, lol. So, this was not for me.1
Yes I have roseacea and yes I do the big no-no of getting sun (hello vitamin D!) on my skin....through a sunblock. The issue I have with products containing zinc oxide (in this product) or titanium (not in this product) is that on darker skin tones and tanned skin, the skin can take on a bluish/white cast (with any product containing the above ingredients, less is always best). The SPF 50 is excellent for protecting redness prone skin and the dry down on the product is good.....no tacky residue left behind. However, that being said, while I want the protection, I don't want the ghostly look.1
I reallly did not like the way it felt (like diaper cream) and it clogged my pores. I got a huge pimple the next day1
