Romano Ricci, the self-described offbeat dandy of the perfume world, only used one element—Cetalox—to create this minimalist perfume. Even if you've never heard of it, you've undoubtedly picked up its scent. Used as a back note in thousands of fragrances, Cetalox (a synthetic substitute for grey amber) takes center stage in Not a Perfume. The result is elegant, pure, spicy, and completely allergen-free.
This perfume is a base and can be smelled in other perfumes. Reminds me of younger scents which is not my thing.3
Like the slightly spicy scent but it can come across a little strong, especially if you like lighter scents or something more floral.3
This perfume is not the greatest but it definitely has a unique scent to it. I'm more into feminine or floral scents so this one was not something I would purchase. It has that grungy kind of feel to it.4
I'm normally more of a body spray person, than a perfume person. Perfumes tend to be too strong or over-powering, but this one's nice. It's lighter, and doesn't burn my nose like some do. Wouldn't wear it every day, but maybe for special events or a night out.4
This is my new and absolute number 1 fragrance. I cannot stop smelling myself! It is romantic, and light, and warm, absolutely versatile for daytime/nighttime. It really is my new staple and I will never be without it! I am so picky about perfumes but this one was perfection in every sense. Thanks Birchbox!!!5
I'm not sure if I really think of this product as a perfume. It doesn't really smell like anything, so it is nice that it isn't overpowering, but not sure I would fork over the money for this.3
I fell in love with this fragrance as soon as I put it on. It's really nice light and airy. I wish that it lasted a little longer but I can live with having to reapply. Its perfect for an evening just doesn't last all day.5
It had a pleasant smell but I wasn't wowed. It wasn't bad or anything just not my preference3
The scent manifested on me as super light fresh apricots, but not as nice as fresh apricots. It was also a very subtle scent and not effective enough for me to adopt it over all the other fragrances that I have, especially considering that I wear very little dedicated fragrance (hair products and shower gels and lotions are already so scent-heavy). I do really like the idea that this formula creates a unique scent per person, that's very clever as it means it could be different for everyone.2
This fragrance does not have a smell on me. I've tried to use it a couple times and there isn't a scent.3
