COOLA’s mineral sunblock is everything we want in a daily SPF. The updated, eco-friendly formula is made with 70 percent organic ingredients and protects from both the UVA rays that lead to premature aging and the UVB rays that cause painful burns. Great for all skin types—especially those with breakout-prone and hyper-sensitive complexions—the transparent cream dries to a flattering matte finish, doubles as a primer, and won't leave behind a chalky white residue. The refreshing cucumber scent gives us yet another reason to love it.
Love the idea bu it didn't work for me at all. Yes, It did make my face matte, however it also gave my a white powdery finish to my face, which made me look horrible. My skin tone is tan however, so it might work for someone who is very pale.2
I found this product to be difficult to rub in and once it was on it left a very weird feeling on my skin like it was never quite rubbed in. It was not what I was expecting at all, and I was not a fan.2
I did not like this sunblock at all. It went on white and didn't rub in! It was also very oily when I first put some on my skin, as though the oil didn't mix in with the formula very well. I was not a fan at all.2
It went on super chalky no matter how I applied it. I tried it a few different times and never could get it not show.2
I loved that this was environmentally friendly but did not like the finish on my skin. My face was so white and chalky. I had a hard time blending it into my skin at the pool.2
Wow! I was so excited to try this, but did not expect the results. It definitely mattified, but at the cost of a chalky face. It dried to a sheer white film, despite my best efforts to work it into my skin. To get it off, I really had to scrub with face wash, so definitely water proof. I have medium skin that tans easily, so if you are trying to protect your alabaster complexion, this may work much better for you.2
I thought I would like this lotion, but the "matte" finish was a little too much of a dry, flaky finish for me. I found that areas of my face had that white, chalky look similar to toothpaste residue. Not for me.2
Product would leave kind of a white cast on my skin. If applied sparingly, the white cast was less apparent. Liked the texture, went well under makeup. Once foundation is applied, white cast is not visible.2
I was really excited to try this since I wear sunscreen under my makeup every day. Unfortunately, I was not a fan! I applied it and the consistency was so dry and weird that it sounded like I was rubbing sandpaper all over my face. The result was a white cast all over. Still, I thought that under makeup it'd be alright since it's also intended as a primer. Unfortunately, I was wrong. It dried out my slightly oily skin and my makeup ended up gathering in my pores, which was really gross. This was the only thing I changed about my routine today, so I know it was the culprit. I had still moisturized and everything. I threw away the rest of my sample rather than using it up, which is really out of character for me. Sorry, but this product was a major fail compared to everything else I've sampled from Birch Box so far!2
I've heard many things about this brand and figured it was time I give it a try since my daily sunscreen was running out. It is a good brand however, I have a tan complexion so when I rub this on I get a purple tinge. I have to rub in VERY well to get the tinge out. So this may not be an inconvenience for most it is for me when Im rushing to get out the door.3
