Slathering on sunscreen can seem more like a chore than a proper primping ritual, but COOLA's standout facial tint has us (gasp) actually looking forward to applying SPF. Made with 70 percent organic ingredients, including plenty of free radical–fighting antioxidants, the silky, nongreasy formula dries down to a matte finish (and does so without an overpowering scent!). Two skin-safe mineral sunblocks—titanium and zinc dioxide—are suspended in a moisturizing base to ensure a smooth, even application, and the subtle beige tint evens out skin tone and masks flaws. Shea butter naturally softens skin. Works best for light to medium complexions.
I really thought the product was great as sunscreen, but I really did not see any tint.3
COOLA facial tint goes on smooth and leaves your skin feeling unbelievably soft. I would definitely compare it more to a BB cream than to a tinted sunscreen any day. In fact as I used the COOLA facial tint sample I forgot all about it being a sunscreen. I love the matte finish that it gave my skin. It totally evened my skin tone and hide dark spots and acne. The color was perfect for my fair skin tone.5
This stuff was so great! I have incredibly sensitive and dry skin(not a great combo) and this stuff was so light and airy with just enough tint. Perfect for a relaxed summer day!4
I just put this to the test yesterday! I was spending the hot 80 degree afternoon at the lake and I wanted something on my face that was light, mattifying, and offered sun protection. I used my usual moisturizer with SPF 30 and then applied the COOLA SPF 30 mattifying tint. It is weightless! The tint is so subtle that once it's on your skin it practically disappears. It will not give you any coverage for blemishes or anything. But I wasn't concerned with that. All afternoon at the lake, it kept my face protected and matte, I was pretty sweaty! I really feel like I pushed the product to its extreme! It's great for really light makeup for a day at the pool. Don't look for makeup coverage because it won't give you that. But if you want something to mattify and protect, something you can put on your skin with some bronzer, glosss and mascara that keeps your skin protected, you will love this!5
It's crazy but the texture of this cream kinda weirds me out. It's like a mousse and goes on just as lightly as a mousse would, but makes me feel like I'm rubbing something bad into my skin. However - and this is a BIG however - after all that unpleasantness is over, I love how my skin feels and looks!
I'm usually pretty hesitant when trying new skincare products like cleansers/moisturizers and sunscreens because I have pretty sensitive skin. Due to medications the sun actually causes me to break out in a rash so quality sunscreen products are must. I have to say after trying this product that I really do like it. There was no overwhelming smell like with other facial tints/sunscreens and the texture felt really nice for my dry skin but was also easy to apply to my combination areas. I did not apply it on top of a moisturizer. Like others have said, the tint was barely noticeable so I wouldn't buy the product for the tint. It didn't cause me to break out and did alright protecting my skin, though I still prefer a higher spf. That being said, I had no issue putting on a little blush and lip gloss and going right out the door. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for a gentle sunscreen with the feel of a BB Cream.4
This glided onto my skin very easily. My skin felt a tad oily after applying this product. I love adding spf to my routine since I don't own and spf face products. I like that it has a slight tint to it, it would be nice for people who don't need coverage and are going to be out in the sun all day.4
don't get me wrong i know it is meant to be a moisturizer but there was no point in the tinted part....3
All the goodness of sun protection with none of the shiny greasiness or, conversely, dull & washed out looks that some sunscreens give. Didn't really look like I was wearing anything with this. That's a good thing.4
it's not bad for a BB. wouldn't use it as a refuser foundation bc I don't get much coverage but it's got s great consistency3
