Slathering on sunscreen can seem more like a chore than a proper primping ritual, but COOLA's standout facial tint has us (gasp) actually looking forward to applying SPF. Made with 70 percent organic ingredients, including plenty of free radical–fighting antioxidants, the silky, nongreasy formula dries down to a matte finish (and does so without an overpowering scent!). Two skin-safe mineral sunblocks—titanium and zinc dioxide—are suspended in a moisturizing base to ensure a smooth, even application, and the subtle beige tint evens out skin tone and masks flaws. Shea butter naturally softens skin. Works best for light to medium complexions.
It's nice as a sunscreen but if you're looking for anything with coverage you won't find it here.3
This product smells good and feels great on my skin. Unfortunately it wasn't as effective as I thought it would be. It washed away quickly when wet. I feel that this should be more waterproof.3
This product left my skin a little bit sticky, but the texture and smell were alright, and it seemed effective. Not sure if I would use daily.3
I only tried this out once and it's pretty good for a sunscreen. I like the matte finish and the feel of it nice and smooth on the skin. I thought it would be more of a tinted sunscreen to give me some color, but it went on pretty clear. Good for the summer to have sunscreen on but not look greasy!3
I used this sunscreen while I was in Sturgis. Being very fair I burn after 30 minutes in the sun, this kept me burn free the whole week. I will be back for the full size.5
I had a SPF moisturizer from COOLA before thanks to Birchbox. I loved that moisturizer. I was very excited to see this product in my box this month. So far, I am enjoying it a lot. It's good for when I don't want to wear too much makeup but still want some coverage.4
I suppose it kept off the harmful UV rays as intended since he SPF is high, but I didn't care for it. After application it was nice feeling, but after using it in a dry climate, I felt like a greaseball several hours later. I tend not to use products with higher levels of SPF anyways on my face, I make sure I have a hat on.3
I really do like this product and the SPF it contains. For the most part, it made my skin look really nice as well, but for the dry areas of my face it flaked a bit.4
overall good product, the slight tint is nice especially if trying to cover up some redness4
the name is so catchy. The product is eh. Not a fan, but that be because i'm extremely bias towards shiseido moisturizers3
