Lifeguards’ skills aren’t limited to scanning the horizon for sharks and showing off their ripped abs—they could also teach us a thing or two about wearing sunscreen. That’s why we stood up and paid attention when we learned that this sweat-proof, water-resistant SPF 50 lotion is endorsed by the American Lifeguard Association. It’s designed to moisturize skin with a blend of organic botanicals and is completely hypoallergenic—good news for sensitive types. Plus, the sheer formula blends in completely so you won’t be left with any white residue.
While this stuff provided the protection I needed (fair skin, Hawaii sun), it would not rub in at all! I ended up having a ridiculous white-ish sheen on me until I went in the pool. It did smell nice though - much better than traditional sunscreen.3
I surf so I am always looking to protect my skin. I am very fair as well. This goes on super heavy and white--and it's uncomfortable, I wouldn't recommend it. Buy Coppertone Sport instead.2
I love to try new organic products, but I wasn't really happy with this. The scent was nice enough but it went on streaky and uneven.2
This product is pretty streaky on the skin due to the natural ingredients. It leaves white dots in my pores and lines on my arms. I like the smell but will probably not order again due to the residue. Try the plumeria one which works better.4
I bought this for an island vacation. I burn easily and need to reapply often. This Smells really nice but it is very thick and does not absorb easily. Every time I got into the water it left a white film over my skin. I probably won't purchase again.3
Great product. Much better coverage than other natural sunscreens, no white residue! Will be trying and buying more coola products in the future.4
I am trying to rid my products of all of the chemicals out there. So, I am now trying to get better sunscreens. This one is great. It is not all zinc colored like the others out there.5
I really wanted to love this sunblock but I just could not. I bought it because it is organic and hypoallergenic. The smell is great and so is the texture because it just feels like a regular lotion and it is not sticky. However it does leave white residue once it is completely dry. No matter how hard I tried to blend it in I would end up with white residue on my skin and I just did not like it. It does protect against sunburn very well but the white patches on my skin were definitely a big no for me.3
This sunscreen really is hydrating and smells FANTASTIC ( which is the reason I bought it in the first place). However, since the sunscreen is organic it leaves white residue after application which is difficult to rub in.4
I now own three different Coola products and really love the texture they all have. I own the face specific sunscreen as well as the lip balm, both are pretty much daily uses. I ordered this sunscreen for summer workouts and really liked the scent as well as the effectiveness.5
