There’s a time and a place for punchy lipsticks and sparkly glosses, but when we want to keep things simple we rely on this no-fuss, SPF 30 balm. It comes in a travel-friendly tube and provides broad spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays. Made with 70 percent organic ingredients, the food-grade (read: practically edible) formula is enriched with vitamins and antioxidants to moisturize lips and combat fine lines. We love how it has a pleasant, non-heavy texture and delivers the subtlest hint of sheen.
I'm sensitive to scents, there are a lot I do not like, but this one smells delicious and since it's practically edible I don't feel so bad wanting to eat it. I love that it protects my lips from UVA and UVB rays and since I work out in the sun a lot it's a must for me!5
I already use a different brand for a BB cream with SPF 40. I wanted to see if this product was good enough to switch. It feels good on my skin but didn't have as much coverage like my other tinted sunscreen.3
This is a nice moisturing, protective lip gloss. I like having an SPF factor in it. Works well with a colored lip gloss also.5
I think I just found something better than my Chapstick!4
This stuff is great. It protects my lips and feels great on. I live is the dessert and it's very dry and hot here. This stuff does what it is suppose to.5
love this coola its awsome love how it has a pleasant non-heavy texture and delivers the subtlest hint of sheen.5
Not too impressed right off the bat.... Have to press pretty hard to get it on my lips. Goes on kinda "dry" and doesn't MOISTURIZE my lips at all. I think this is probably a summer product (in the sun) for sun protection, not necessarily a moisturizing product. Bought a PIXI at the same time and that will definitely be a re-purchase. I'll save this COOLA for summer.3
Full size samples make me smile, and this product makes smiling even easier. The formula is light, not sticky, and you'll want to reapply throughout the day because you'll love it so much.
Where most lip balms and chapsticks feel gloopy, or feel like they're not doing anything and so make you want to gob them on compulsively, COOLA's product feels like it's working its magic almost immediately. Lips feel smoother, softer, and enriched. You want to put on more because you want the feeling to grow, not because you're thinking, "Geez, when does this stuff kick in?!" After 24 hours, I felt like I literally had a spa treatment for my mouth.
...Once I wrestled the stick back from my husband, that is. The scent is sweetly, pleasantly neutral, and even he appreciated the feel of the balm. (He's a self-proclaimed chapstick addict.) He commented that it wasn't, "Too girly," and appreciated that it didn't look shiny, wasn't tinted, and didn't call an excessive amount of attention to his lips. The SPF factor was an added bonus.
From a practical, technical standpoint, the swivel stick works smoothly, and the lid has a nice, tight snap-fit. It's not going to come undone in my purse and get mashed all over everything. The light blue is pretty and summery, and the thick base is easy to grip and maneuver. I don't feel like I'm thumping a huge crayon into my face, nor do I feel like I need a mirror to detail a tiny pencil around my lips - the size is perfect.
It's a great find, and I know I'm going to breeze through the sample stick. It's a definite reorder for me!
Works very wells. Helps keeps my lips from getting chapped in the winter and the scent reminds me of the beach.5
I am going to admit outright that I do not go for SPF lip balms. I don't like the taste, the way you can smell it, or the film it leaves in my mouth when I lick my lips. I know I am a bad person for not taking better care of my lip skin. That said, the lip balm did leave my lips conditioned and smooth. It's definitely a good balm, I just don't care for the SPF-ness.3
