Orange streaks are the telltale sign of a self-tan gone awry. Happily, this Spanish brand’s genius towelettes are designed to give you uniform all-over color. A bestseller in Europe, they landed on our shores just in time for bikini season. These single-use wipes deliver a natural tan on face and body that’s more intensely bronze than the brand’s regular self-tanners. Even so, the formula adjusts to your skin tone, so you don’t have to worry about ending up with an un-matching tan.
I do not use self-tanners, but I gave it to one of my girlfriends and she said she liked it!1
I have very light skin and I tryed a sample of this on my legs.I made sure I exfoliated and moisturized just as suggested.I applied using a circular motion trying to not miss any spots and it still came out blotchy and orange looking on my skin. The price is great and these don't smell bad plus the easy to use towelette are not messy. I so did want to like these, but they are not for me.1
i am not a tanning girl at the first place, but i tried it anyway. it is just too hard to evenly cover me legs (maybe it's because this is my first time using it)1
This was NOT a streak-free self-tanning product. It also had that weird dirty smell that most gradual bronzers do. Maybe it would work better on someone with different skin. I like the color it provided because it wasn't orange and it looked quite natural in that sense but the streaky look was just not working for me. I think part of what makes it difficult to apply correctly is the fact that it goes on clear. All you know is that you have damp legs. Then about three hours later there is a lot of color with splotches missing. I really wanted to love this. :(1
+ Lovely smell that isn't that typical self-tanner odor
+ Handy little easy to carry/travel moist towelettes
+ (I get to say "moist towelette")
- That self-tanner odor was merely masked by the other scent (could smell it hard core in a couple of hours)
- Towelettes are not the best method for achieving an "all over" look. You're limited to the amount of liquid in the package. Which means that my left ankle (where I started) is super dark, and my right thigh (where I ended) is splotchy and streaky
On the brightside:
+ I have that awesome silk body exfoliator that came two birchboxes ago and will be scouring my legs before I fly home for my HS reunion on Thursday.
I always put on self tanner before bed since they usually are so smelly. This one is even more smelly then others. Very strong odor and I ended up being streaky all over since you can't tell where the product ends up. The towel only really has enough product to tan the legs, so you'd need multiple towels to get all over.1
If you like streaks go for it, otherwise Pass on this item.1
This product left me very streaky even after exfoliating. It had good color in the places that weren't streaky. One towelette is definitely not enough if you want to coat your body for the pool. One towelette would probably be ok just for legs, but it is summer- you need to coat your whole body. Not impressed at all.1
I'm extremely fair skinned so self tanner just doesn't work on me. I always tend to look orange afterward.1
One sheet was definitely not enough to do my entire face/body, and I still managed to get streaky on my ankles/knees/elbows, etc. I'll just be white, thanks.1
