Orange streaks are the telltale sign of a self-tan gone awry. Happily, this Spanish brand’s genius towelettes are designed to give you uniform all-over color. A bestseller in Europe, they landed on our shores just in time for bikini season. These single-use wipes deliver a natural tan on face and body that’s more intensely bronze than the brand’s regular self-tanners. Even so, the formula adjusts to your skin tone, so you don’t have to worry about ending up with an un-matching tan.
These were okay but were very streaky and they dried out before I could get my whole body. Also the scent was not great and lingered for days. Overall ok and quick fix.3
I bought these before my wedding - I didn't want to glow in the dark, but I didn't want to glow orange either. This product was just enough to give me a little color - a few folks commented that I looked a little tanner, but it was nothing too drastic. Not streaky at all, and as long as you're thorough with the application, you'll have a nice even allover color.4
I don't use these products but I have it to my sister and she said it was one of the best she has ever used. She said it was fast and easy to use and didn't have any issues.5
I purchased these without having got a sample in my monthly box based on reviews I'd read from other people. I have mixed feelings: The first time I used a wipe, it came out extremely streaky. I had applied self-tanner with a wipe-style previously, so I don't believe it was user error. I did it before I went to bed (about an hour prior) so maybe I didn't give it enough time to set. My legs were literally striped. The second use was much better, however, I think to do this properly you need to use 2 wipes per full-body application, rather than the one it says you need. It is a good color that I actually prefer over the look of a spray tan--not nearly as "orangish" looking. Overall, I'd recommend but just know you need to apply when you can sit perfectly still and almost naked for awhile!3
I am very skeptical about using self tanners and tried this product few days ago. The second i got to work everyone asked if i just got back from vacation. Moisturize before applying let it dry and you are ready to put on clothes. It does not have a smell to it like other self tanners. I highly recommend this product.
I love these wipes for their convenience and strong color. I am pretty fair-skinned and they give me the perfect bronze tone. It's darker than your "subtle" bronzing lotions but not orange. As for the streak-free promise... well... If you try REALLY HARD you CAN get the color to go on perfectly. It takes focus but it's worth it. I have definitely gone to work with a stripe down my forearm after a lazy application. Still I would pick these over lotion any day. Keep in mind you will need two for every application!4
I didn't find these to be any better than Loreal's tan towels you can purchase in the local grocery store. In fact, I prefer Loreal's "cheap" tan towels to this higher end product in every way.
The main complaint I have with this product was the minimal amount of color one application provided. Not to mention the fact that I haven't been in the sun for the past 9 months while undergoing chemotherapy treatments. I have never been this fair in my life. A byproduct of both my cancer and not being allowed to sit in the sunlight since chemo commenced. Certainly, one could assume, if these tan towels were going to be effective on anyone it would have been me! Pale, milky white, and akin to Casper the friendly ghost.
I was actually worried I would get too much color from these towels and end up looking orange. Not even close! No one even noticed a difference in my usual sallow, pale complexion. All in all, it was a waste of time and energy applying this product for barely there results. The cheap drug store brand tan towels offer far superior results in color and pigment absorption. Save your money: opt for the cheaper, yet better, option if your looking to get tan!
I love the ease of these towlettes, much better than the spray and great for traveling, nice even tan, will order again4
This is a fabulous product--doesn't leave you streaky or smelly. Really easy to use and great results. This is a must for when you can't get in the sun.5
As a self proclaimed tan addict, I was worried about what the tanning beds were doing to my skin. Im 32, and the aging was beginning to show.
I was a little skeptical about these wipes at first bc I haven't had any luck with other self tanning products. They either left me orange, streaky, or stinky. These wipes do none of that.
I used 2 wipes. One for my lower body, and second for face and upper body. I found it did leave a very natural, even color. The Intensive wipes are more the color my medium to light skin was looking for, but come December, I'll continue with the Natural color wipes.
A couple pointers would be: lightly moisturize after a shower and before using the wipes. This will ensure your dry skin won't "drink up" to much color. Also, rub, rub, rub. I used latex gloves for my application, and then removed the gloves to do a light pass over the tops of my hands. I then rubbed everywhere I applied the wipes to ensure I got an even result. A quick wash of my palms and I was good to go. You will notice subtle color almost immediately, and a deeper bronze within a 2-3 hour window.
The natural wipes have a light, soapy scent which I actually enjoyed all day long. The Intensive has a pleasant scent as well, but as the day went on, it did begin to have a bit of a self tan smell. Nothing anyone else noticed. :)
I am a forever fan, and have put my tanning bed days behind me, and I encourage you to give these a try as well., I'm 5 days in, and despite a bit of color lose to my face, I'm still enjoying my tan. What other self tanning products could say that?!
