Over the years, we’ve amassed quite a repertoire of specialty skills, from our Excel prowess to our ability to stand on our head. Next on our list? Mastering the art of the streak-free self-tan. Happily, we’ve got this Spanish brand’s genius towelettes to help us out. They’ve been a hit in Europe since their debut, and we’re happy to welcome them to our fair shores. Great for all skin types, they deliver a uniform and natural (read: not orange) tan on face and body. The formula adjusts to your skin tone, so you don’t have to worry about an un-matching tan.
I thought that these cloths were very easy to use... however, the color was extremely blotchy. I'm sure I could have done a better job applying it but it was extremely obvious that the color was not even. I would much rather use a lotion that way I can feel that I've applied it all over.3
I've tried numerous self tanners always in hopes that it will be THE ONE that changes my life. Over the years, self tanners have definitely improved, especially in smell, and this one is no exception. It definitely doesn't smell as bad as some other self tanners, but there is still an odor that lingers especially if you do the self tanner in the morning before you start your day. On the plus side, not only does the tanner dry very quickly, but I also did have a few people ask if I had been to the beach. So as far as natural looking color, I think this product did a great job. But, I am still on the hunt for a self tanner that does it all, all while not leaving me smelling like self tanner.3
This product gets an A+ for ease of application, lack of "fake tan" smell, and no streaks. It does not do much in terms of color pay-off. If you are VERY fair (like, Rooney Mara-level fair) and would like to try a self-tanner that won't be too dramatic, this would be great. If you're trying to build up a fake tan (like me) or have olive or darker skin to begin with, I'd skip this one.3
I still get streaks with these, but I prefer the wipes to any spray-on tanners. These are my go-to, and I love that they come in individual packets.3
If you are trying to use one wipe on your entire body it just isn't moist enough. I started using two and my method was to start at my toes and work my way up one side of my body with one wipe and repeat with a new wipe on the other side. These were enough for a February/March "tan" in Northwestern Pennsylvania where a dark tan would look odd. I am going to try the "INTENSE" next for my upcoming trip mid-April to San Diego. Oh, I didn't mind the scent and they didn't leave me looking orange. :)3
I tried this when looking for something quick to take on vacation to keep up color on my legs. The color is nice, but it tends to be a bit streaky. It's hard to wipe evenly all over. After a day or 2 of wear, it looks much better. Will stick to a spray I think.3
Ordered this product because I had heard great reviews and I was excited to try it! Product is VERY easy to use, goes on smoothly with no steaking, my hands turned orange-however that was my fault! I didn't think the color was that great on these towels, and found that I would need several coats to even get the illusion of a tan. Otherwise no issues with the product and perhaps the darker towelettes would have been a better choice for my light skin tone.3
This just didn't work -- perhaps on someone with pale skin? I'm not a fan of products that just dont do a lot for me and this one did not.3
This is streakier than I would have liked and i don't think there was enough product on the wipe for my whole body. It was pretty good as a base, I touched it up with a moisturizer.3
While these towelettes are amazingly easy to use, they are also incredibly unforgiving if you don't have a surgeon's hand.3
