You wouldn’t know it from the state of our makeup drawer, but we’re actually beauty minimalists. Our motto: Why use two products when you can get the same effect with one? This two-in-one lip and cheek stain gives us a natural, understated flush and helps us get out the door faster. The gel formula looks dark in the tube but delivers a sheer tint. The tinted gel leaves a lasting stain on lips and cheeks. Since it’s water-based, it has a longer setting time than most quick-dry stains, which means it won’t leave any unsightly streaks behind as long as you take care to blend well. Use a single coat for a subtle look or layer it on for a more visible (yet still discreet) hue.
I have pretty large lips and the color looked splotchy and didn't last. I wasn't crazy about when I used it on my cheeks either because i am already so red and like going with more pink tones.1
This product didn't go on as smoothly as other lip stains, felt like it took a while to set and if I licked my lips it tasted really weird. Not sure my husband would appreciate a kiss if I was wearing this.1
It made my lips feel quite dry. I didn't like the color it left on my lips either. It wasn't made for my skin tone.1
I'm not a fan of this product. While the color was nice, I just found it too sticky and couldn't wear it.1
I'm not sure if I received an older sample, but the product was sort of separated in clumps. Thus, whenever I tried to apply it, it did not smooth on evenly--Instead, left me with lumps of color I had to wipe off using a tissue.1
If you like a very sheer color this is the product for you!1
Will not spread, the color was just awful, and it made my lips so dry! Will not be purchasing :(1
this product has the harshest chemical taste I have ever experienced. not a bad color, but can't get past the taste.1
I had this sealed tight but the product still dried up really quickly. Less than 4 months old and I had to throw it out.1
I was really looking forward to trying Stainiac. Unfortunately, when I applied it to my lips there was some immediate swelling. I used a makeup wipe to remove it, and that solved the problem. I read the ingredients but didn't find anything I'm allergic to. I'm not sure what caused the reaction, but it seems several people have had similar situations. [The only other lip product I've had a reaction to is Too Faced Lip Injection.] If you're going to try Stainiac, I'd definitely try it at home when you're not going anywhere just to be on the safe side!1
