You wouldn’t know it from the state of our makeup drawer, but we’re actually beauty minimalists. Our motto: Why use two products when you can get the same effect with one? This two-in-one lip and cheek stain gives us a natural, understated flush and helps us get out the door faster. The gel formula looks dark in the tube but delivers a sheer tint. The tinted gel leaves a lasting stain on lips and cheeks. Since it’s water-based, it has a longer setting time than most quick-dry stains, which means it won’t leave any unsightly streaks behind as long as you take care to blend well. Use a single coat for a subtle look or layer it on for a more visible (yet still discreet) hue.
Tasted funny, dried out my lips, and didn't leave any color. I didn't try it as a blush, so I can't rate it as that. Definitely not fond of this item at all.2
very snow white red on the lips and still to red for me on the cheeks2
I like the idea of the product, but even though it was just a slight color, it was the wrong color for me. "Beauty Queen" came out a very bright pink on my lips - the other color options seem like they would be even more pastel. Would recommend to friends with different coloring from me!2
This lip/cheek stain is a great idea. I was excited to try it because the idea of combining products for less time and space needed always appeals to me, a stay at home mom. I was disappointed though in a few things. First of all I tried the color Beauty Queen, even though I was warned it's darker then it shows up it still was too dark on my lips and cheeks. I admit it is a color I see people use, but it was very youthful, something I may have worn in my days as a teenager or perhaps a college student, certainly not in my 30s. Not to mention the packaging looks cheap like something you would buy as a teenager. Not a bad price at $17 for a dual stain for your teenager, who will probably care less about the packaging. The other thing I was disappointed in is it came off very quickly for a stain. I put it on at 5:30pm, and it was off by 7:00pm BEFORE I even ate dinner, with just minimal drinking. Usually stains last much longer on my lips (I have never tried a stain on my cheeks). All in all a fun product to buy if you are a teenager or have a teenager, but if you want a useful, mature product not for you.2
Not that there was anything wrong with the product - The product just does not appeal to me. Maybe because I am an older middle age woman and this seems to be an item that is more geared to younger women. I am not a fan of dual purpose cosmetics.2
not a great color payoff on this one... like it better for the lips than the cheeks.2
This would have been a good product, if I didn't have chapped lips. As it was, the stain just highlighted the chapped areas.2
I was interested in this as a category, but was disappointed that on my lips, the Stainiac felt like sugar water. It was sticky and I kept licking it (off). It was ok on the cheeks but I wouldn't buy it.2
Very pretty color but I'm just not that into stains. Gel formula seems a little more controllable than other formats. Easy to apply.2
I don't love this product. It tends to dry my lips out badly. Its also very difficult to get a good balance between almost no color and very bright color.2
