You wouldn’t know it from the state of our makeup drawer, but we’re actually beauty minimalists. Our motto: Why use two products when you can get the same effect with one? This two-in-one lip and cheek stain gives us a natural, understated flush and helps us get out the door faster. The gel formula looks dark in the tube but delivers a sheer tint. The tinted gel leaves a lasting stain on lips and cheeks. Since it’s water-based, it has a longer setting time than most quick-dry stains, which means it won’t leave any unsightly streaks behind as long as you take care to blend well. Use a single coat for a subtle look or layer it on for a more visible (yet still discreet) hue.
I got this through my birch box sample and I loved it so much that I decided to buy it! This is the first stain that blends well and looks natural. It leaves your cheeks with a flushed pink look like if you've been in the sun for a little while. I usually just put it over a tinted moisturizer and some bronzer and I have dewy sun kissed look. Love, Love, Love! :)5
I purchased the full-size stain after receiving a sample in my monthly box. I love it-- with just a little bit it gives a natural flush, but you can make it look more intense by adding another layer. Stays put for awhile too!5
I am not a lipstick user but I do love this stain. It is not too red as you would think and really just helps to accentuate my natural color. Only issue is if my lips are dry it tends to make them look dryer.4
I love the color that this makes my lips. it gives it a really natural red look and lasts fairly long. work like it to last a little longer, i feel like lipstick might last longer.5
I love using Stainiac on my lips and cheeks. I like to put two coats on my lips for a darker color. I also like to use it on my cheeks when I'm going for a more natural look. It definitely stays put much longer than any powder or cream blush.5
Perfect sized sample. Especially when you don't often finish the full-sized lip glosses.
I like this color.
I love a good lip stain and this was just that, not too thick or gooey.
I don't really understand the versatility and uses of stains. Perhaps, I could use an application tutorial. But, for me the color is way too bright. And once the stain dries your lips are dry, which I don't like the feeling. And quite honestly, I didn't feel this stain hung around very long. I expected the color to be visible for much longer.2
This stain is perfect to make my fading lips look like the color I had in my 20's. Now in my late 30's, I am noticing fading in my deliciously full lips and their pink tone. A little dab of this stain on my lips and my cheeks brings so much natural color back to my face! It's such a light stain and so easy to blend into my face and lips. I love that the coloring looks so natural and I get tons of compliments on my "sun kissed cheeks", but it's really this stain! I gave it 4 stars though because I would like to see the bottle this stain currently comes in; changed to allow all the stain to be accessed. This bottle doesn't allow one to access 30% of the stain. It is such a waste of such a great product..perhaps a slanted applicator brush might help? Otherwise it's a really great product!4
I must admit, I was pretty scared of this product. For no reason in particular, I thought stains were a no-go for me. Luckily, I was proven so very wrong by this lovely little product. While it doesn't quite work for my lips (the color is weird and it makes them dry), a few dabs on my cheeks produces a great, natural blush that stays throughout the day. This is especially fantastic during the summer months when powder blush can get streaky and my cream blush looks like it's melting off of my face! Definitely recommended.4
really love the idea of this product just wish it worked on me. I had to put on at least 3 applications and even after that my lips looked dry and the color wasn't even.3
