You wouldn’t know it from the state of our makeup drawer, but we’re actually beauty minimalists. Why use two products when you can get the same effect with one? This two-in-one lip and cheek stain gives us a natural, understated flush and helps us get out the door faster. The gel formula looks dark in the tube but delivers a sheer, lasting tint on lips and cheeks. It has a longer setting time than most quick-dry stains, so it won’t leave unsightly streaks after you blend.
I was a little disappointed when I got this in my Birchbox because thought the color would be too dark, but when I applied it, it looked very natural. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the texture was a little weird, it was a bit too "watery" for me. However, if you're a lip stain person, this is a great natural-looking stain.4
I loved this as a lip stain. I would apply lip gloss on top for a pretty color. I will definitely purchase this product.5
To be honest I was not a huge fan but for those who enjoy lip stains, the color is very bold and bright. I did love the color, but I found it did not last that long and it smudged super easily. I wish it stayed on longer and did not irritate my lips as much. If you love lip stains, try it out!4
I was disappointed in this lip stain. I really wanted to like it because I've been looking for a nice stain, however the color really did not show up as much as I'd hoped.3
Not a fan. I guess if you're into this type of product it's great, but I'm not much for it. I feel like it's too easy to make yourself look like a clown if you wear it on your cheeks and too light for lips.1
I was super excited by the dark pigment in the vial and was a little set back after reading online that it was a sheer light tint. But I figured I'd give it a shot anyway-
I tried and waited five minutes because the water base. And then I spent the next 10 minutes staring in the mirror looking for a hint of color or shimmer or sheen, something anything that would indicate I had makeup on.
No good- waste of a product
I like to wear it when i don't want to put on lipstick but still want to darken my lips a little.4
I didn't love this stain, but I didn't dislike it either. The only thing I noticed that I didn't particularly like is that I tend to pick at my lips so sometimes my lips can be a little beat up. I exfoliate them more which helps prevent picking, but when my lips are really dry or cracking/beat up, this stain actually highlights those imperfections. On my normal, healthy lips it looks nice, just the right amount of tint. But on my beat up, picked lips (and yes that totally is my own fault), it really settles in those imperfections. If you have beat up or cracked lips, this may not be for you since it can settle in the cracks and isn't as hydrating as a balm. It isn't drying like a matte lipstick, but it won't do too much for dry lips, cracking lips either.3
I used to use Benefit, Benetint. I like this stain more. It's not as dark, and it dries to a really natural color. I love it on days that I just want to look "better" but not "made up". I will be purchasing this for sure.5
This stain looks so bright in the tube that I was worried it would be garish on my lips but it is surprisingly light and subtle. I usually prefer a neutral lip and generally don't wear lipsticks or stains but I could see using this one more regularly than normal being as subtle as it is!5
