You wouldn’t know it from the state of our makeup drawer, but we’re actually beauty minimalists. Our motto: Why use two products when you can get the same effect with one? This two-in-one lip and cheek stain gives us a natural, understated flush and helps us get out the door faster. The gel formula looks dark in the tube but delivers a sheer tint. It comes in three shades that complement all skin tones: Beauty Queen is a magenta-toned pink.
I was skeptical when I saw the stainiac in my box. I thought the color looked too bright and that I would have clown circles on my cheeks when I applied it. I was so wrong! This goes on lightly and is very easy to blend--much easier than the cream blush I was already using. The color looks very natural. I love it and will likely purchase it.5
This was okay to use on your lips. Not crazy about color nor did it last, but I would never use it on my cheeks again. Too shiny/greasy.2
I have not tried this on my face and don't plan to, as I don't like the idea of wiping something on mouth and then on my face. But as a lip stain, this is is interesting. This particular color isn't my favorite so I will look into others but I like the idea of a lip color that doesn't sit on top of my lips and then come off when I eat or drink. I am intrigued.4
I like this product. I used it on my lips and it produced a very nice color. I haven't tried it on my cheeks, but only because I have very sensitive skin.3
The color was awesome, however I found it extremely drying3
I'm not a fan of these types of products simply because when the stain is applied to the cheeks, it is very difficult to blend and ends up looking like you smeared paint on your face. No, thank you!2
Since I am always on the lookout for a great cheek stain, I had high hopes for this product. Unfortunately, even when I glopped it on, the color barely showed up on my cheeks, which are about as pale as possible. Likewise, I could not even see it on my lips.2
It gave a hint of color on my lips and lasted all day. Works great alone or layered with another color.5
Birchbox gave me this in the holiday sample box that I bought a few weeks ago with my last order so I wasn't super stoked to get another one. Now I have two of these stains that I won't be using very often. ITs okay, I usually use it on my lips before applying some other color but it would take many coats (and waiting for each to dry) in order to achieve a look id want. I don't use as a blush becauseI like the powder blush I already use.3
This product has a nice natural color. It's jarring in the bottle but blends in well. I prefer it as a cheek stain rather than a lip gloss.4
