You wouldn’t know it from the state of our makeup drawer, but we’re actually beauty minimalists. Our motto: Why use two products when you can get the same effect with one? This two-in-one lip and cheek stain gives us a natural, understated flush and helps us get out the door faster. The gel formula looks dark in the tube but delivers a sheer tint. The tinted gel leaves a lasting stain on lips and cheeks. Since it’s water-based, it has a longer setting time than most quick-dry stains, which means it won’t leave any unsightly streaks behind as long as you take care to blend well. Use a single coat for a subtle look or layer it on for a more visible (yet still discreet) hue.
I've received multiple tint samples and am a loyal user of Benetint from Benefit for over 5 years now. I was hoping to like this, but it's just weird. It's gel-like which I thought might make it easier to apply to my cheeks, but it hardly showed any color at all. I was ok on my lips, but left them very matte and faded super quick. Definitely stick with other brands.2
I was surprised to find that this is more of a gel than liquid stain, but for application it actually made the product easier to use. The color payoff wasn't as strong as a typical stain though, which was disappointing.4
I love this product but I wish it was longer lasting. Gives a nice pinch of natural color but needs to be reapplied often.3
I wasn't a huge fan of this as a lip tint but I like it for my cheeks. It does last long on my cheeks.4
At first, I thought I hated this product. Not a fan of it for the lips, the red comes out a little too candy colored for my taste, and looks cheap. However, after messing with it for a bit, I tried it on my cheeks and this was much better. It does give you that nice dewey look on the cheeks without being too much. I would buy this for my cheeks, but pass on the lips.3
I loved the lip stain. it was just enough to give a little color with out looking or feeling overwhelming.4
This product is great in theory. Here I am thinking I'm gonna get this wistful red stain on my lips that adds just a tease of color, but not overwhelmingly pigmented...for those days where I want more of a clean look.
Yeah, that didn't happen. The first time I tried it, it stuck to my bottom lip, but not my top lip. So I remedied that by putting actual lipstick on that day.
The second time I tried it, I exfoliated my lips and wiped off any lip balm, thinking that would help.
Nope. It really just looks like I drank a cherry slurpee from 7-11 that turned my lips red.
I wanted to like it, but I don't, so I can't recommend it. =T
The lip stain didn't really pack a punch. The stain was so light it didn't register unless you placed a sheer gloss or chapstick over.3
I really enjoyed this product and I would definitely consider purchasing.5
This stuff doesn't really show up and it doesn't wear very well. Not impressed. It's pretty basic.3
