We know better than to skip our all-important face-washing ritual, but when we’re traveling there’s not always a sink within reach. Lucky for us, these quick and convenient cleansing wipes make it easy to stay fresh mid-flight, post-excursion, or anytime we need a pick-me-up. They erase dirt and makeup while simultaneously moisturizing your skin. The oil-free formula is great for breakout-prone and sensitive skin, and won’t cause any irritation. Plus, the biodegradable wipes have a refreshing scent courtesy of its lovely blend of botanicals.
I have somewhat sensitive skin which I usually clean with Cetaphil (with no problems, so in fact I had forgotten just how sensitive before I tried these, which I got in a mystery sample box). I had an immediate *bad* reaction to these wipes -- red blotches and burning sensation -- and had to wash with Cetaphil immediately. I think it might be the benzone alcohol in the wipes -- not sure. In any case: yikes.1
I use face wipes often, and wanted to try these. I was disappointed. There was a film left on my face after use. I had to rinse my face with water after using them. They also burned my skin slightly and especially my eye area. I have super sensitive skin and these wipes are not for me!1
I thought that this left an oily feel on my face, not really refreshing, and I wasn't a fan of the fragrance. I'd prefer a clean refreshing face wipe.1
They were nice when I went on vacation but otherwise I would rather use face wash and water. Feels cleaner to me.1
This cleanser burns my face - I'm not sure what it is about it, because I don't have sensitive skin, no problems with any other products, and I've only heard good things about La Fresh, but I've tried this particular cleanser a few times and every time I have the same experience. Make sure you try before you buy!1
Worked well in removing my make up, but my skin is extremely dry and they left it feeling uncomfortably dry.1
I like the idea of face wipes in general because they're great for travel. This one though had kind of a funky scent that I didn't like. I also felt like it was very dry, not moist enough in the packet.1
I use makeup removing wipes on a daily basis, and have always purchased them from the drugstore - my favorite brand so far has been Garnier, but I have also used Olay and Neutrogena in the past. Comparitively, I felt that the LA Fresh cleansing wipes removed far less dirt/makeup than the brands I purchase for less at CVS, and didn't have any features that made them superior, or worth the price. I won't be making a switch!1
Didn't remove my eye makeup, even with aggressive scrubbing.1
I'm not a fan of individually packaged disposable wipes because they just create more trash. Having said that, these would be good on a long plane flight or somewhere where you don't have access to water/cleanser. I wouldn't buy them just for that, though.1
