Legendary fashion designer Oscar de la Renta knows what women want. In addition to designing dreamy dresses, this sartorial pioneer has perfected the art of fragrance. Featuring lovely notes like jasmine sambac, rose, ginger orchid, and amber, this modern-meets-classic scent features a bounty of botanical aromas that tug at our romantic side.
This wasn't for me. I like fresh, fruity smells and this just reminded me of something that my mother or grandmother would have worn, might be good for some, but it just wasn't my style.1
Just way too floral for me, not enough warm musk or vanila notes. I felt like I was walking around in my grandmother's closet - an older smell that wow'd me...in the wrong way.1
dislike the smell. definitely not suited towards younger individuals1
I am pretty sensitive to perfume scents and this one was too much for me, without even opening up the sample vial. The description is dead on tho -- it is VERY Floral.1
This perfume reminds me of something my mother used to wear in the 80s. Despite that, I would not recommend it for my mother because I would hate to smell this perfume again, especially on my mother.1
Too musky for me. I just did not like this product for myself.1
I love fruity scents and this was heavy and floral. Did not like this at all!1
I just did not like the smell of this product, not for me.1
I liked the scent but it was too strong for my preferences. I'm fairly picky when it comes to perfumes though, so the strength might not bother most people. My mother in law loved it and snapped my sample right up!1
I don't know if there's any point in reviewing a fragrance b/c it'll work differently on different people, so I'll just say this: Initially I thought it smelled nice - light and floral and summery. But the sample is sitting on my desk, closed, and the smell is starting to really bother me. But maybe I'll dab some on a hanky and keep that in my purse.1
