Romano Ricci, the self-described offbeat dandy of the perfume world, only used one element—Cetalox—to create this minimalist perfume. Even if you've never heard of it, you've undoubtedly picked up its scent. Used as a back note in thousands of fragrances, Cetalox (a synthetic substitute for grey amber) takes center stage in Not a Perfume. The result is elegant, pure, spicy, and completely allergen-free.
Many perfumes smell awful on me. This scent is a nice subtle scent without being overpowering. My husband has a sensitivity to smells and he really likes this one and it doesn't bother him.5
I liked this fragrance, but I don't normally wear perfume so I'm not likely to buy it.5
I very much like this fairly simple scent. I may buy it in the future, and definitely would if Id didn't already have so much perfume.5
I'm not a perfume wearer- at all! But I love this for it's subtlety. Awesome!5
Love the way this perfume smells. I wish the sample was a little bit bigger. It is microscopic compared to other perfume samples I have had in the past.5
I've heard so many good things about this but I was waiting to see if I ever got it as a sample. I was so happy to see it in my box this month! This fragrance is everything people promised- light, soft and feminine. Definitely buying full size!5
I LOVE this scent. I'm definitely going to purchase it. It lasts forever, too. Personally, I think that's a good thing.5
This is such a unique perfume!! Love it!! It has a clean yet sexy scent...might be my new signature perfume...5
Love it!!! My husband told me how fantastic I smelled with this perfume. I actually had a friend who stopped me to find out the name so she could get it.5
I always like trying new perfumes. Even though it can really be a hit or miss, you never know until you try, right? I had heard a lot about this perfume (mostly through Birchbox) and I'm glad I finally got to try it. The concept of a single element to create an entire perfume was really unique, and they really picked a good one to focus on. It's something that I have definitely noticed nuances of in other perfumes, and now that it's standing alone, I'm realizing this is one of those scent elements that I have always looked for in other perfumes, I just didn't realize it before now. It's a great smell, although hard to describe. Definitely doesn't sting the nostrils or smell "grandmotherly", in fact I found myself distractedly sniffing my arm throughout the day as a calming, comforting thing, I think. I guess you could say I'm a fan, haha. The full sized bottle is pretty pricey, but I may have to succumb and buy it anyway when the sample runs out because there really isn't any other perfume out there that smells quite like this.5
