Romano Ricci, the self-described offbeat dandy of the perfume world, only used one element—Cetalox—to create this minimalist perfume. Even if you've never heard of it, you've undoubtedly picked up its scent. Used as a back note in thousands of fragrances, Cetalox (a synthetic substitute for grey amber) takes center stage in Not a Perfume. The result is elegant, pure, spicy, and completely allergen-free.
I thought this scent was pretty minimal and just not for me, but i handed it over to my partner and she liked it more than i did so its up in the air !1
I love this fresh, not overly complicated scent! I am wearing it right now, and I am not usually a perfume aficionado. It is light, but interesting, and not too overpowering to wear to work.5
This perfume is so simple but has such a nice fragrance to it! Every time I wear it I get compliments on how nice it smells. I find it really difficult to buy a perfume that isn't too strong but is still noticeable--this is IT!5
I received so many compliments about this perfume that I ended up ordering a full size bottle...I love the fresh & clean scent2
I don't wear a lot of perfume and this was is light enough to not be too strong.4
Not my favorite scent. I was hoping to like it more based on the reviews, but this one is just not for me.3
Love the smell! It's fresh and subtle. However $100 is a bit steep.4
I absolutely love this perfume sample, it has a light scent and not overpowering !5
I enjoy more complex perfumes and could only detect a single astringent note with Not a Perfume. The scent was minimal and a tad spicy, but seemed empty, like it was missing a complimentary counterpart. Not something I would invest in. Additionally, my husband hated the scent.2
It was so light you couldn't smell it. Why spend money on something you can't smell? What's the purpose? I definitely would not spend money on this.2
