Romano Ricci, the self-described offbeat dandy of the perfume world, only used one element—Cetalox—to create this minimalist perfume. Even if you've never heard of it, you've undoubtedly picked up its scent. Used as a back note in thousands of fragrances, Cetalox (a synthetic substitute for grey amber) takes center stage in Not a Perfume. The result is elegant, pure, spicy, and completely allergen-free.
The smell of this perfume is awesome but price is high5
Love this scent probly wont buy it but love the smell even shared the rest of mine with best friend!5
First of all the " not a perfume" is very confusing. But, I am very mixed on how I feel about this perfume. It is a sophisticated scent that I would not wear daily. It is not my favorite scent, but I don't necessarily dislike it. I would suggest it for a woman more in her 40's.2
I love this fragrance. It's a very unique smell. Very simple and not too overpowering. Almost like a natural scent of a woman. I will purchase this one! Luv luv!5
Got this as a sample in a Birchbox but I had it before then.. love the smell and it is one of my go to scents for this summer.4
I can very much appreciate the minimalist and allergen free properties of this scent, but have determined that the scent is not for me.2
This scent was just okay. It was not one of my favorite scents but it is also not my least favorite scent. It is just okay.3
Different than anything I have every tried before. I'm usually a very subtle, classic fan. I would say this classic but definitely not subtle. It's a strong scent and not remotely floral.4
When I first received this in my BirchBox I was confused by the words 'Not a Perfume' appearing on the packaging because it sure looked like a perfume sample but after reading the description on the card I gave it a try. I immediately recognized the scent as an undertone of many of the other perfumes I have tried. Because of this I kept waiting to smell something more but nothing came. However, in a couple days time I become very fond of the smell on its own - it smelled sophisticated. Long after my sample was gone I could still recall the name for being so clever and catchy. Would certainly consider buying this in the future.5
I could see this feeling overpowering, even though it is supposed to be subtle. It didn't sit great with me, for being called the "not a perfume."3
