Romano Ricci, the self-described offbeat dandy of the perfume world, only used one element—Cetalox—to create this minimalist perfume. Even if you've never heard of it, you've undoubtedly picked up its scent. Used as a back note in thousands of fragrances, Cetalox (a synthetic substitute for grey amber) takes center stage in Not a Perfume. The result is elegant, pure, spicy, and completely allergen-free.
I'm not a fan of receiving fragrances in my Birchbox--it's my least favorite item to test, and the least likely item I'd buy. This fragrance wasn't particularly appealing to me. It was a little spicy and a little sweet, and nothing about it was unique (which is something I like in a perfume).1
Liked this scent but I have a ton of perfumes already and not going to get this one as not my favorite favorite...3
I did not enjoy this scent--I like crisp clean scents & this was mostly musk, and not in a pleasant way for me.4
This is an okay perfume, it just doesn't stand out to me and isn't my favorite.3
I love how this fragrance is simple yet bold. A spicy and elegant scent that is great year round.5
i liked the smell of this fragrance but I wasn't quite sure how to use it to get the most out of it.4
I liked the scent of this fragrance, it was not over the top but it was a nice scent for a special occasion or for a night out.4
I typically don't wear too many perfume to begin with. So nothing against this product. It has a nice subtle smell not too strong. Bottle was very cute. Nice to have with you in your bag so your not carrying so many big things. But I just don't use too often so, not good for me. But it is nice.4
I absolutely loved the smell of this perfume, it has a sweet smell and lasts a good while, I would definitely buy and recommend to others.5
This perfume smells completely unlike any other I've tried. It reminds me of something familiar, but unexpected. I honestly think it reminds me of new electronics for some reason. But as crazy as that sounds, it's not actually a bad thing. It's subtle and interesting. But I wouldn't say it's something I reach for every morning or toss in my purse regularly. It's best for times when I, for whatever reason, don't want to smell perfumy.4
