Quirky Cordies

Cable management may not be sexy, but neither is rooting around amidst the dust bunnies under your desk, in search of a fallen power charger. Cordies keeps all your wires and cables in order so you can plug in—and unplug—with ease. This weighted but flexible five-pronged design provides a solid grip for all your cords, while a rubber bottom gives stays put on your desk.

Just another thing taking up space on a desk. Does the opposite of what it's supposed to do.

Really serves no purpose. Definitely not what I was expecting from Birchbox Man

Quirky - the name says it all. Looks cute, but completely useless. Either get an actually functional product or just don't let your cords get tangled.

I was somewhat excited to get this product. I currently have my power cords looped around and clamped with a binder clip so they don't slip through the cord-feed on my office desk.

I was very disappointed once I began using this. I placed two cords in it (one micro-usb flat cord, one micro-usb round cord) and attempted to use it much like I would normally, i.e. pull both cords out and plug my phones in. I pulled the flat cord out first and the entire device came with it. I tried to use the round cord in the same fashion, but received the same result. Basically, the coating is far too sticky and will grab any cord that is not pulled out at an almost perfectly laterally.

I can see using this at a college desk where the only true concern is keeping the cords from falling off the to fall off the back of the desk, but in my opinion this is not a "cord organizer." For me, a cord organizer would require the device to stay put while I draw out the cords for use and allow them to easily return to the retracted position when I am done.

Essentially, this product would be much better if the friction is reduced greatly.

Not bad, but for those of us who do not have a lot of cords, not particularly useful. Maybe I can find an alternate use, like as a paperweight or some kind of card stand.

This item does exactly what it says, but the problem with Quirky products (judging from what I know of them from sampling them in a birchbox) is that they are incredibly specific. The only way I can be excited about these products is if I say to myself "Gee, all the cables sure do fall down after unplugging them from their devices," or "I wish these coiled earbuds didn't take up so much space in my pocket", but I have never thought these things. I don't have so many cables that plug into peripherals that fall down after unplugging I need a device to manage them. Also, when I coil up earbuds, they don't really take up that much space in my pocket. In fact, the quirky product EXPANDS the total volume required by stretching it out. Granted that may have some benefit to wire life, but it doesn't safe space. Alternately you can use the ear bud coiler as a stand for a phone, but if you have any kind of cover on it, odds are your phone is much to think to fit into the narrow opening.

a neat idea, just not for me

Sorry but this just isn't for me. I already tend to keep my cables organized in drawers etc and not left plugged in. I only have one USB cable that I use regularly so there's not much need to "organize" it...

The rubber bottom isn't a very rubbery rubber. And it's not heavy either. I put this on my nightstand with ONE iphone cord in it and it was barely heavy enough to keep it on the table. I can't imagine adding any other cords. Definitely does not deliver as expected.

An okay concept. I have no use for it, i dont really know how many people use more than just a phone charger, and a laptop charger anyways, but i do not. Maybe i am out of touch, but i dont feel the need to add an ugly paperweight to a surface just to hold a cord in place.

Great concept

This is a great concept. I put it on my nightstand and to not let cords get lost and un-manageable, and keep them off the ground. However, it just feels un-necessary. Adds clutter in order to organize clutter.
