This artisanal lip balm is the best thing to come out of Oregon since Portlandia. Free of artificial ingredients, it’s made with shea butter, jojoba, and other natural hydrators. We love the dense, smooth texture and two sweet flavors Pomegranate & Fig (a Birchbox exclusive!) and Coconut Almondine Lip Butter. Plus, the indie cool design of its recyclable MIRON glass container will look right at home with all our sleek fab.com finds.
I got the Pomegranate & Fig in my Birchbox and definitely love the smell. I have very dry skin and lips, and it is fairly moisturizing, but doesn't last as long as I would like.3
i like that this lip butter is made of natural ingredients, and i like the pomegranate fig flavor. however, i think the formula is too thin and gets instantly absorbed into my lips without adding much moisture, so i find myself constantly reapplying.3
Winter time means my lips are constantly cracking and feeling dry. I put this balm on before bed and when I wake up my lips are STILL moisturized and smooth! I also love applying this before lipstick, no chalky look and it turns any color into a gloss! Can't wait to get my full size in the mail since I'm just about to run out of my sample! Way to go Portland!5
The moment the clandestine 90's film "The In Crowd" made sense to me I knew I wanted to find my confidence balm.
Little did I know I would have to wait over 10 years for Mox to develop one in the form of this little gem.
Starring into the mirror as I glaze my bare ring finger over my plump lips with the balm from side to side, I had never felt so sexy being single.
Sure, a pair of sexy denim skinnies with a pair of red soled heels, or a lace lingerie set after 20 minutes of lotion lathering could as well- not like this.
Instantly your lips will send a signal through your glorious skin and to your brain that you are amazing- that you are unstoppable- that you, my friend, are IN.
Indebted to Mox,
the pomegranate & fig has a lovely scent, but i wish the moisturizing effect lasted longer. found myself reapplying after 20 minutes.3
I can't explain how they do it but this is the most amazing lip product I've ever experienced. I was truly surprised when I tested this sample. This product will make your lips feel like silk. It's also a long wearing product with a very subtle scent/flavor - it's nothing over powering or intense, its very light. My only complaint would be the container - I hate touching lip products with my fingers/nails and would really prefer them in a stick form. But I'm looking forward to buying the full size of this product!5
I purchased the pomegranate & fig. I'm a lip balm junkie and I like to try new products and brands. The packaging on this is heavy and nice quality and the balm goes on smoothly. The consistancy is not as think as Rose Balm but still substantial. My one qualm is that the price is a bit high. I had a discount coupon so I was able to purchase this at a reduced price, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay the full price to purchase it again. It is a very nice product though and I keep it on my bedside table.4
I love to put this on at night, and I wake up in the morning with hydrated lips ready for lipstick! This balm smells delicious, but it's not overpowering. I know a lot of people aren't a fan of potted lip balms because you have to stick a finger or a brush or something into the product to get it on your lip, and it's not the most hygienic process in the world. I keep this balm on my bathroom counter at home, where I can wash my hands before and after applying it. I wouldn't carry this around in a purse. However, it is my very favorite product to slather on before bed!4
I absolutely love this lip balm, one of the few things I have ordered full-size from the store, although I made the mistake of not getting the Pomegranate flavor which I like much better than the Coconut-Almond. Very lush and moisturizing.5
I am not a fan of lip stuff in pots. It's too messy to apply with a finger, and too inconvenient to carry around an applicator. The product was fine, but didn't seem much different from any other balm in this format. It's not something I would pick up if I hadn't gotten the sample.2
