Dermatologists and beauty editors agree: this hydrating, rebalancing mist—sourced from the medicinal springs in Avène, France—is both refreshing and incredibly powerful. Backed by over 300 clinical studies (not to mention centuries of dermatological treatment), this multitasker soothes redness and calms all sorts of skin troubles—from sunburns to allergic reactions to eczema and itching sensations. Use it as a morning toner, spritz it as a mid-day refresher, or keep it in your purse for moments when skin is stressed. Bonus: It also works to set makeup.
Maybe it's because it was such a hot fall, but I loved being able to spray this gentle mist into my face before bed or after work. It just cooled me down, and felt so nice. When I had a fever, I sprayed it on my face and felt instantly a little more comfortable (not proclaiming this water has medicinal qualities, just that I was more comfortable). I think the price is awfully high for water in an aerosol tin, but I liked the sample a lot.5
This spring water spray is great for freshening up to go out after a long day at work- I like to wash my face and spray it a ton with this and then let it air dry- friends always compliment my skin after using it this way and tell me I look "glowy". It just feels good, makes your skin feel and look and great and makes you feel nice and awake all over again.5
This product is great. I was very skeptical of it, and a friend got it in her Birchbox. After a long night, I spritzed it on my face and felt refreshed! Aside from that, I use this water to remove my makeup before I wash my face. I use a scrubbing acne wash, so I like how this soothes my face and doesn't irritate it. Sometimes I will use it to soothe my face after the wash. Great for sensitive skin. It may be "water in a can," but I am a believer.5
Nice and refreshing but I don't think I would re-purchase. Not sure that it actually does much.4
... but not any that I'd pay this much money for.
Conceptually, I like this product. It make my face feel nice and refreshed in the same way that splashing water from the tap on my face would, or misting it from a dollar store spray bottle. I'm not easily swayed by a fancy french name and a sleek container. It's water.
This is canned water from France as many reviewers have stated. But I can't lie, I do like spritzing this on my face before putting on moisturizer. It feels good and also seems to calm redness.4
As refreshing as this was, I wonder if I would pay for this on my own. Maybe in the summer.3
I absolutely loved this sample. It worked great for days my skin was a little dry. It was a great quick fix, even after I had finished applying all my make up. My skin felt & looked refreshed. It's a must-have, for sure!5
I'm not entirely sure what water in a spray bottle is supposed to do. I live in Arizona so it works very well at cooking you off in the summer if you spray it on yourself, it's like a portable swamp cooler!4
I understand that water can needs to be "purified" for drinking, but if I can shower in regular tap water, than I can use it on my face too. Unhappy with this product in my Birch box.1
