Dermatologists and beauty editors agree: this hydrating mist is your best bet for curing dryness and irritation in a snap. Bottled from the medicinal springs of Avène, France, it’s rich in minerals that rebalance all kinds of troubled skin. It’s clinically proven to soothe the redness and stinging associated with sunburn, eczema, and other skin conditions. Use it as a morning toner or a mid-day skin refresher.
I found this product a little unnessasary, but it
Was refreshing after I took my makeup off.
Liked the sample, but wouldn't purchase full size.
I used this to soothe my son's severe sunburn, to cool down, and to set my make up. I will by another when this runs out.5
When I read the description of this, I was really skeptical and derisively referred to it as "Fancy/Magic French Water", but I did give it a try. After using it on mosquito bites and chafed skin, my boyfriend and I still call it that, but without the derision. It actually made a notable difference in both of those, and I react badly to mosquito bites. Plus, we used it at Dragon*Con, and anything refreshing or soothing is great at a convention. I think it'll take me awhile to get through the bottle, but it's something I'd consider buying when it runs out. I'm really cheap, so that is saying something.4
This product was the first I tried in my August box, after going out to the bars one night and just using a makeup cleansing wipe on my face I sprayed the product on and ran the wipe over again and got a ton more makeup off! It was also cooling and refreshing. I use this after washing my face because it just feels so nice. Not sure that it is doing that much for me because it is essentially just water.3
I loved this product! Use it every morning after I wash my face and it just makes it so refreshed and is a great pick me up during a hot summer day!5
I received this in my first birchbox, I did not find that it soothed or hydrated my skin. I tried it on my legs after being outside for a few hours and while it provided coolness for about a minute it did not leave my skin moisturized. I was pretty bummed about this.1
Smells great! I use it in the evenings after a long day or right before going to sleep. I feel like my face is softer and smoother! I don't know about using it mid day if I'm going out because my face is a little shiny after using it, so I use it when I'm home.3
As advertised, it's a fine mist of pure water. It felt nice after a workout or in warm weather, but at the end of the day I could get a similar result from a spray bottle or splash of tap water.2
I sprayed some as a facial refresher, and it's no better than your average mister on a warm day. The ingredients or benefits of it to me are not noticeable. Tried this on some razor burn as well since the instructions claimed it to be good for that. It wasn't effective as other brands are.2
I have never seen the point in these "water" sprays that you can buy, but I tried to have an open mind when I got the sample in my box. I have used it a few times, misting my face after being outside in the sun, and I have to say I didn't feel any different than I would have had I used normal water. The size is very nice and would be handy for traveling, but this type of product is just not for me.3
