Most mud masks feel like paper-mâché creations once they dry on our faces. Not so with this super-soft mask from WEI™. It purges all kinds of debris from your skin—from excess oil to environmental pollutants—leaving your pores nearly invisible. We love how the single-use pods come equipped with a handy brush to help you apply the mask evenly. The formula works for all skin types, even the most sensitive.
It felt nice on the skin. The smell is ok. The price for the full size is pretty pricey though.2
I had an allergic reaction to this sample. My cheeks started to burn.
I had to rinse it off.
This product felt great on my face but it seemed to make my pores the color of the mask.2
I am not a huge mask fan, but this one was nice. I wish the sample was larger so I could have a better feel for if it is effective. My skin felt nice after using it though.2
Could be due to the fact that I don't have a brush to apply this, but I don't think that really affects the effectiveness of the mask. It left my skin feeling tight and a bit dry.2
I am always excited when I receive a mud mask in my box because I tend to really love them, so I was very happy to try out WEIGolden Root Purifying Mud Mask. Overall I was not very satisfied with the product at all. I felt like it was extremely hard to wash off my face afterward and that it did not really give me that "tight skin" feeling that mud masks ususally do as they dry. I am not sure if maybe I used too much, but I applied using the package instructions in a thin layer. I have another mud mask that I purchased from Birchbox that I LOVE and this one just does not compare at all.2
I really enjoyed using the mask. I felt my skin was clean afterward and smoother. I would use again. I also liked the scent!2
It seemed perfectly nice but just didn't seem to make much difference to my skin. I don't usually use these kinds of mud masks so I may just not have the type of skin that benefits from this.2
*2 stars for the following* - Package was easy to open and product was easy to apply. I didn't use a brush, just applied with my fingertips. Mask had a pleasant smell and an initial tingle sensation. Coverage was good and dried within 10 minutes.
*3 stars for the following* - Somewhat hard to wash off. Ok, it's a mask and should take a little elbow grease but this was more of a gooeyness that wouldn't go away. I was in the shower when I took it off and had to wash my face twice with Cetaphil. About 2 hours later my face had produced so much oil you could make a salad dressing. I didn't put anything on my face after, no make up or moisturizer. I felt like the mask and having to wash my face twice may have over dried it making it produce the excess oil. The next day, two pimples and now it's day 3 and I still feel some pimples forming under the skin. My routine didn't change other than the mask. Now the pimples could be hormones but that doesn't explain the oil slick city right after using the mask.
Would not purchase or recommend for people with combination/oily skin or prone to break outs.
I liked the mask, but I don't know that it has any different effects than my normal face creams or washes. Enjoyed the sample though. :)2
