Don't let fine lines, acne marks, or redness get you down. Brighten up your day and your skin with this powerful exfoliator. Papaya enzymes work to break down dead cells and even out skin tone while dermatologist-approved microderm crystals fade fine lines and acne scars. Finally, aloe vera, coconut, and vitamins B and E nourish freshly exfoliated skin to keep it free from redness or irritation, making it look like you just got a facial.
I liked the very fine exfoliating particles. This was a nice product to try.4
I absolutely loved this product. The sample size is fantastic! I will get at least 4 uses out of it. It felt great on my sensitive skin. And works great too.5
Luv luv luv this product, a little but goes a long way! looking forward to receiving full size any day now !5
Now that I'm older, I feel these skincare samples become more relevant. This one did not disappoint. I felt that my skin was smoother and looked more refreshed after use. It's something I'll definitely be interested in purchasing in the future!5
This was extremely harsh on my skin. I used it one time and will not use it again. It was very rough and left my face red and irritated.1
This is a great product! My face always feels awesome when I use it5
Good product, not the best. Probably won't be purchasing the full size.4
i didn't feel any harsh grains that exfoliators usually have. it just felt like i was washing my face with liquid soap.4
I had never tried a microdermabrasion cream before I received this sample in my first Birchbox.
I tried it on the back of my hand and waited a bit; the product felt gentle and my skin wasn't irritated.
I used it on a Thursday night, and was very gentle. It felt pleasant and smelled good, although my skin (especially around the delicate nasolabial fold area) was redder than I expected that night, and my skin felt overly tight and dry the next day. (The rest of my Thursday evening and next morning's routine used all my normal and familiar products.)
By that Friday afternoon, my lower and upper cheeks were extra pink, and covered in the tiny raised white bumps of a contact dermatitis rash (I've had one other facial skin allergy in my life, so at least knew what I was looking at). The rash spread to my forehead and chin (all areas that this product would have touched), and several days later is red, roughened, warm to the touch, and fairly itchy.
I spoke to my doctor about all this while getting a course of steroids prescribed for the rash; based on the ingredient list, since I don't recall ever being exposed to papaya, we think that I may have an allergy to it that showed on more sensitive areas of skin (probably why my hand didn't show any rash or irritation when I sampled the product there).
I've seen great product reviews for this, so am sorry I can't join the legion of ladies who love Vasanti. I would recommend anyone who has ever eaten papaya and felt the slightest mouth irritation from the fruit enzymes either steer clear of this product, or test a small amount on the inner bend of your elbow, rinse, then wait 24 hours for any signs of irritation before using. Having baby-dragon scaled cheeks is rather fantastical looking, but doesn't feel fantastic at all.
I really liked this product. But, it claims to compare to microdermabrasion and I found it to be lighter than most exfoliants I've used in the past. Very light and my skin did not seem to have the glow I usually get after exfoliating.3
