Dry lips and sour breath rank pretty high on our no no list. C.O. Bigelow's Mentha Lip Shine not only prevents and relieves dryness, but it sweetens breath, thanks to an infusion of natural peppermint oil. Throw in the shine factor and you’ve got our new best friend.
I don't like the scent or the way the peppermint burns the lips when its applied. I would much rather have a fruity scent to my chap stick/lip shine. It just moisturizes the lips decently, not worth the money.1
This lip gloss is super shiny and smells/tastes really nice, but is extremely sticky. I would not recommend for everyday use.2
I've used this before and it's an okay product, but it's not the best of its type. I wouldn't recommend this to friends because there are other products I've found that I love because they're great multitaskers - great color, shine, and moisturizer in one product. This gives good shine, but isn't very moisturizing.2
I like the mint scent of this product. It says that it is supposed to freshen your breath, but I'm not sure if it's necessarily strong enough for that. However, in terms of lip treatment, I don't think it's the best since for just help with chapped lips I prefer something matte (this is shiny like lipgloss so it is noticeable when I go outside the lip line).3
I did enjoy the mentha lip shine but honestly I found it too shiny and the peppermint was a bit painful on chapped lips! If you're looking for a good lip gloss to wear out without color then this is the one!3
I was excited to see this lip gloss on here. I love this mint taste of the gloss but don't like that it's super sticky.3
This is definitely minty and it makes your mouth feel refreshed, but I didn't feel it was all that moisturizing. Once it had worn off, my lips felt a little tight and dry.3
Like the texture and shine, it's not too thick, which is nice... but the smell/taste is very strong and stays with you. It's overly minty, and tastes a bit chemically to me.3
I've loved the freshness of this lip shine for years, but I hate how quickly it dries up. It's a great pucker picker upper in the middle of the day, but doesn't have staying power. I'd still keep one in my purse for those moments when I want to freshen up.3
This was very sticky. The flavor was great, though. The biggest downside is that it didn't moisturize my lips deeply, and the gloss basically dried up really fast.3
