After one too many dye jobs, our strands were starting to look pretty fried. But not anymore, thanks to this this color-protecting shampoo from luxe brand SHU UEMURA. In addition to smelling like roses (literally), it keeps color-treated locks hydrated, protected, and glossy. Even if you’re sporting your natural hue, you can use it to get vibrant hair worthy of a shampoo commercial.
I'm sure this product works well for some, but I did not care for the rosy scent or the heaviness it gave to my hair. I have fine, thin hair and I felt like this did not do anything for it.1
This product did NOT impress me at all. I am currently using a different, much cheaper shampoo and conditioner that leave my hair with much more shine and soft texture. After using this, my hair felt dry and brittle. I did not see any difference at all...1
I threw this away and never cracked the seal to try it. It was a good size sample but I'm plenty satisfied with Wen. Having "sparkly" hair isn't a selling point for me.1
I was so excited to use this product on my color treated hair. When I dried my hair it felt mushy and like it had a lot of product in it. I only used it once because it was so bad.1
This shampoo doesn't lather at all. I am used to higher end brands that do not lather but after using this I realized they do lather a little bit. I had to use half of the sample on one shampoo and I didn't feel like my hair was clean at all. My hair also looked dull and limp, which I was surprised about since the name is Illuminating. And I do not like the smell of roses, too old ladyish.1
Excited to try a new shampoo, I opened the sample and lathered up my hands. I couldn't bring myself to put in my hair, though because of the smell. I've never liked rose-scented things, unless they are fresh roses. It's not for me. If, however, you like rose-scented things you will like it.1
this product is for color treated hair, but my hair is natural! good sized sample though, but not matched to my survey and super expensive. Cheaper shampoo works just as well!1
I received a sample packet of this shampoo and the accompanying treatment in my Birchbox a few months ago. I dyed my hair last week so I pulled out the sample to test. Terrible. The shampoo had a very liquid, runny consistency and it didn't lather well. After using it, my scalp didn't really feel clean and I noticed that my hair got greasier far quicker than usual. I won't bother writing a review for the treatment, but I also didn't enjoy it. It didn't have a nice, texture and didn't give my hair very much slip or make it feel any smoother or look shinier. I mean, after one use I can't say much about how these products have helped preserve my color. But overall, I do not believe they are not worth the exorbitant price tag.2
The smell of this product is amazing. It has a very rose smell to it and I absolutely loved the scent. Thus why it got 2 stars. Otherwise the product really did not do much for my hair. My hair is very overprocessed and just left it flat. I will not be buying this product.2
I loved the smell of roses and thought I had found my new shampoo but it left my hair limp and unmanageable. I was disappointed.2
