Between the lush, moisturizing formula and the eye-catching bottle, this shampoo inspires obsession-level devotion. Perfect for all hair types and textures, the restorative formula is designed to fight dryness and tame temperamental locks. It’s gentle enough to use every day and features a delicious floral scent.
I bought this along with the conditioner a while back hoping to cure my dry hair. As pretty as the bottle is and as nice as it smells, it doesn't actually help dry hair very much. There's hardly any lather and it's very liquid, which I'd heard was supposed to be the point, but I have long-ish hair and I ended up using a lot of product each time I washed. For how much you pay for it, each use made me feel guilty that I was overusing the product and yet wasn't getting the results I was hoping for. The smell is nice, but doesn't last long and I didn't notice a huge improvement in the texture of my locks.1
My curly curls don't really do well with shampoo in general so I'm not surprised that this product isn't for me. I can't shampoo often or it just dries them out. But when I straighten my hair I love to lather. This shampoo however, was not one that I fell in love with. I could take it or leave it. Sorry Shu!1
I must be allergic to this because after using it (2X) I had an extremely itchy scalp. My hair initially felt very smooth, but quickly turned greasy and flat within a few hours. This isn't typical--normally I can go three days between washes. What a shame because I love Shu makeup and face cleansing oils.1
Recieved this in my box and the sample is a nice size, but the product is not for me. I have very oily hair. Gave the sample to my daughter and she said it left her hair very soft, silky and shiney. All great things. Can't give a personal recommendation just a second hand one. But seems like a good product.1
The shampoo is nice, although it didn't do anything new for my hair. It does smell lovely, but I expected more wow results from such a pricey product. I definitely don't like the bottle though because it is very hard to regulate amount of product. Every time I squeeze I get way too much. Bottle is artistic but not functional. Overall meh.2
This product was the same as any over the counter product. Nothing special. Definatley not worth the asking price2
For the price of this product, if I bought it, I expected fantastic results. I think my Pantene worked way better. Snarled my long hair and left it sort of dull looking...sorry :( Just wasn't impressed with this product or the conditioner that came with it.2
I was not impressed with Shu Uemura Shampoo at all. It was a weird smell, made my hair very heavy and hard to style and it is definitely way too expensive for great shampoo. I like high end shampoos but $48 is ridiculous not to mention that it did not seem to do anything other then make my hair smell bad.2
This shampoo has a wonderful scent and texture. I found my hair to be very soft and silky after using it. Unfortunately, I have oily hair and this was a little too much for my fine tresses. I think it would be better on thicker, dryer hair.2
I loved the sample i got in my box, so despite the price, I bought both shampoo and conditioner. In addition to not loving the bottles I just felt like my hair didn't benefit over time3
