This decadent shave cream from gives you a mighty close shave without leaving legs devoid of moisture—and is made in the U.S. from eco-friendly ingredients. And, unlike its distant peers, this formula is designed not to foam up: instead, the rich lotion is chock full of organic and natural botanicals that soften skin. A moisturizing base of omega-rich squalene, organic shea butter, jojoba oil, and coconut oil protects against the redness and irritation associated with shaving, while organic green tea extracts infuse skin with antioxidants.
I liked the grapefruit smell (and so did my boyfriend)..my legs were conditioned, but the texture was more like a cream body wash than a shaving cream (thin), but basically, none of that matters because it clogged my razor so bad. I couldn't even finish the sample because it was too hard to get through one leg.2
I didn't care much for this product. The sample size only allowed me to shave one leg. After I shaved my leg felt like oiled plastic. I literally had to scrub with a loufa and some anti-bacterial soap to get all the excess off my leg.2
I was sooooooo excited when I finally received this in my box! I loved the smell and worked well. My only complaints would be it's too thick and clogged up my razor.2
Not a fan of the no foam. Without seeing the product on me, I felt the need to use a lot. It was more mosturizing, but I would probably normally use other shaving creme and a thick lotion after.2
I've been using this sample for about two weeks now just to use it up. I don't see a difference between this shaving cream and your basic band of shaving cream that you would buy at Walmart.2
The product had a nice scent. It was like a watery lotion and you had to use a lot to be able to shave. It was nothing great.2
I was surprised by the texture of this based on the packaging, but it truly feels like a shaving cream. That being said, I had to use a LOT to be able to see that it was on my legs, which is how I know I haven't missed a spot. I do have verrry sensitive skin on my legs and experienced no irritation.2
Liked the smell and that it is eco-friendly but that's about it. You have to use a lot to work up a lather and it doesn't seem to be any better than cheap shave creams2
This works just fine, but the smell! Egads! It took me a while to place it, but then it occurred to me that it smells like a fraternity house after a party where trash can punch was served.2
I shave pretty regularly and am admittedly no-frills when it comes to the chore. So when this came in my birchbox I wasn't exactly thrilled but still figured I'd try it.
I used it while in the shower. Squeezed a fair amount into my hands and rubbed them together. I was surprised that it didn't foam or lather, but it was slick. rubbed it on my legs and got to work.
The razor glided through this stuff unceremoniously. Honestly, I'm not sure how this is different from shower gel or soap.
The only potential upside, because I can't say whether it was from this product, is that my legs seemed to be pretty moisturized later in the day. If that's from this, I guess that's cool but I wouldn't say that's worth putting out money for this product.
