This decadent shave cream from gives you a mighty close shave without leaving legs devoid of moisture—and is made in the U.S. from eco-friendly ingredients. And, unlike its distant peers, this formula is designed not to foam up: instead, the rich lotion is chock full of organic and natural botanicals that soften skin. A moisturizing base of omega-rich squalene, organic shea butter, jojoba oil, and coconut oil protects against the redness and irritation associated with shaving, while organic green tea extracts infuse skin with antioxidants.
I have used cream base shaving cream before. Not my favorite but especially this product....horrible! It solidified too fast and you'll have to use tons to give enough coverage or creaminess. The smell of this product was the worse for me (Açai Grapefruit), just gross. Most of all, the product just didn't cut it and I had the hardest time getting off my razor....may not seem like a big deal but it will probably cause growth of bacteria if some is left behind. The only positive thing was that it did a very close shave but other products can do that too. Not my favorite!!2
The fact that this shave cream didn't foam and was very thin on the skin made it harder to grab the hairs with the razor. I didn't feel like this was a trade up from my typical shave cream (drug store brand) and definitely not for the price!2
I feel like this sample should have laster a lot longer then it did... I only got 1 use out of it! I feel like i had to use a lot for it to work! I'd rather use conditioner or a body wash... Both of those options work better then this does for my skin (surprisingly!)2
When I first received this sample all I did was smell it, as I had just shaved and had no use for it right away. I thought it smelled great, but when I got around to using it it smelled more like grapefruit and moldy berries. Ick. And then I went to actually use it, and the consistency was horrid. It was slightly less thick but just as gritty feeling as the toothpaste at the dentist. Why on earth would I want to rub that on my legs. The shave wasn't that great either. If I get a better shave using just body wash your product seriously needs some work. Also the sample only had enough for one shave in it, which is hardly useful to get a good idea of the product.2
I loved the smell of my sample but it wasn't very good for shaving...maybe the sample just wasn't big enough and I couldn't use enough but I had the worst razor burn after using it...but it smelled really good...maybe if I would have used more it would have worked better...2
This works fine as as a shaving cream, but there wasn't anything that made it stand out. Honestly I got the same results with this as I do with Skintimate. I recieved the grapefruit scented cream. The smell was fine at first, but there is an odd undertone, similar to a Callery pear tree ( if you know what I mean). Overall, just not really worth it.2
I was not pleased with the sample. The texture seemed fine on my legs, but once I began to shave, I knew it was NOT the product for me.
The product was described to be "an ultra-hydrating, shea butter-packaged shaving cream in a pick-me-up grapefruit scent."
There was hardly a scent, which was fine, but after the shaving process, I wasn't left with hydrated smooth legs. I was left with dry legs and with a few nicks.
Obviously, others will react differently, but ultimately this product was not for me.
The creaminess was great--though I agree with other reviewers that I think it would take a lot of product to do legs. However, the smell was absolutely awful (grapefruit acai). It almost smelled soured. So bad.2
The purpose of this shaving cream was to be a lotion by being different. It wasn't the best. I loved the smell but maybe I am just partial to my foaming shaving creams.2
This was not my favorite product. The texture was creamy and it made my skin feel smooth which i liked. However, the scent was not good at all, the creme clogged my shaver and in the end i ended up switching back to the soap i always use to shave, for $20 it's not worth it.2
