From no-calorie cupcakes to pinch-free stilettos, we admit that we’re prone to wishful thinking. Another item near the top of our if-only-it-were-real list: a truly non-greasy body lotion. Much to our surprise, this decadent organic body butter fits the bill. It contains a trio of antioxidant-rich moisturizers that nourishes skin and wards off sun damage.
this body butter smelled amazing! it also made my skin super soft and hydrated! didn't get many uses out of it, but i did notice a difference in the softness of my skin4
I don't usually like lavender scents because they tend to be overpowering. This lotion has the prettiest, most subtle lavender scent I've ever found. I don't use body lotions frequently but I could see myself buying this. One note is that the texture didn't really seem like a body butter to me. It's less creamy and more fluid than a body butter, I'd describe it more as a lotion instead.4
It was a nice little simple to throw in my pocket book. But, it didn't smell particularly fantastic and it didn't do a particularly great job moisturizing my skin. Won't be purchasing however it was a nice little sample from Birch box.3
I have a very love-hate relationship with Whish products. I generally find their formulations better and better the more I use them—the body butter is no exception—and their scents terrible. And I mean TERRIBLE! They usually smell too sweet and have weird after-scents (for lack of a better term).
Nevertheless, I've been using Whish's Body Butter in Pomegranate (a mostly innocuous and short-lasting fragrance) on my legs after each shower for the last two months. [Note: Because the formula is so thick, I apply one pump—from the 16 oz package—to each leg while still quite damp. It doesn't visibly absorb right away, but by the time I've finished my skincare routine, it's fully absorbed.] My skin is softer, ingrown hairs (which I've often struggled with after shaving or epilating) have disappeared, and the hair is growing in softer and slower than it ever has. I'm sincerely impressed. Now I'm giving Whish as a whole another look.
I absolutely love this sample and can't wait to buy a full size. It immediately smoothed my dry hands and doesn't have a strong smell like most lotions.5
I really liked this product. I especially liked the fragrance, light and not overpowering.4
Overall, this body butter was pretty ordinary. However, the lavender scent was so amazing! Honestly, lavender is the best scent/flavor/literally everything amiright??!?! #lavenderislife4
Smells ok kind of like a musk, I used it on my hands it left them soft, but wasn't enough moister to combat this harsh winter weather. It seemed a little more like lotion rather than butter. But over all left my hands soft.4
I'm glad I tried it; but wouldn't purchase it. I too have lots of body lotions...and probably prefer facial creams.2
This body butter smells amazing , and the smell lingers far after it has been applied. However, I was unable to feel a noticeable difference after a week of using on my dry winter hands3
