Washing your face seems like a simple concept, but it’s actually a key part of your skincare regimen, and one that deserves careful consideration. After all, if you pick the wrong cleanser, you could end up with dry, irritated skin. That’s why this dermatologist-developed cleanser is such a winner—the effective formula is safe for even the most sensitive skin types. It creates a gentle lather that sweeps away dirt and makeup and leaves skin balanced.
I would have given this more stars, however, I just cannot get over the smell. It reminds me of black liquorice. Its almost nauseating when im trying to wash my face and it smells like that. As for the product itself, its just an ordinary refreshing cleanser.3
After use two uses of this cleanser, I broke out into miserable hives all over my face (2 days before my company holiday party, ugh). The next morning I used my normal facewash and the hives went down dramatically and I just have a few rough spots left. I told my friend and she said she had the same experience - so much for being made for sensitive skin.1
I really like how soft this product makes my skin feel and I love the mild anise scent.
The thing is, I haven't seen much of a difference in terms of my skin. No pore minimization, no noticeable improvement in dark/red splotches, and no difference in my occasional break outs. Also, it's pretty drying - I have to really load up on lotion once I'm done and I've started only washing my face once a day now that the dry wintery weather is here.
