Red-eye flights, a cocktail in the airport lounge, dry airplane air—travel can really suck the moisture right out of your skin. That’s why we don’t leave home without a Karuna Hydrating Mask in our carry-on. These single-use masks can be applied anywhere, and in less then 20 minutes our skin looks dewy and decidedly less stressed.
The main drawback is that my roommates (mostly guys) made fun of me for fifteen minutes, comparing me from everything to a burn victim to Tom Cruise in Vanilla Sky :/ and also it is way too big for my face. It felt nice on the skin while it was there (and while it wasn't sliding off), but I honestly haven't seen any differences and I'm not feeling it.3
I was not impressed with this mask. It made my skin extremely oily the next morning, I used it before I went to bed. Since my skin isn't super dry during the winter, this product had too much of the moisturizer, thus making it oily. However, I did love the smell and how it felt like my skin was getting rid of all the toxins from the day.1
I guess the product worked, it was just kind of strange. It had an odd texture and smell to it, but it did do what it was supposed to. Mixed reviews and feelings but definitely won't be buying. Would use if I got it for free4
This sheet masque is quite like the other ones I've used. I like that it was richly saturated in fluid and felt luxurious on my skin. Definitely a nice pick me up when your skin is looking dull.4
This mask was great! I have never tried a mask like this before. Used to applying a paste or cream with a brush however after I took the mask off I could definitely feel my skin was more hydrated. My skin felt soft and nourished. I would definitely recommend this product for those in need of some hydration.4
It was pretty easy to put on but did not feel like it was doing anything. Afterwards my face did feel a little more hydrated than normal. I cannot say that I would purchase this product in the future but i don't dislike it.4
Super hydrating, I loved that aspect of it. But I put it on in front of my husband and he and I died laughing, I looked like Hannibal Lecter! If you can get past that scary looking aspect of it, it works wonders. This could double as a Halloween mask; it's so versatile!3
I enjoyed using this mask, but ultimately didn't feel much effect from it. The serum on the mask itself is very silky and feels refreshingly cool on your face, which was nice as I used it while I was soaking in a bath.
I have combination skin that becomes dry in the winter, and I noticed I didn't have to moisturize quite so much for the next day or two when I used this product.
I decided against giving this four stars because the serum on the mask stung my eyes pretty badly when I ran my fingers from my forehead over my eyelids after taking the mask off. I personally feel face products should not be unsafe for use around the eyes.
I had never used a product like this until I received it in my Birchbox. When I took it out of the package, I was a little nervous since it covers your entire face. Despite looking hilarious with it on (it totally reminded me of Patrick Bateman a la "American Psycho"), I really enjoyed the minutes I wore it. It made my skin feel extremely hydrated and cool. It didn't dry and leave my skin tight, which I appreciated. Taking it off was a breeze, and it felt good to massage the remaining product into my skin. My only complaint is that it didn't leave my skin looking any brighter. However, the refreshing feeling was enough to make me want to try it again.4
I didn't really feel like this accomplished much. It was kind of messy and felt really gross (think soggy toilet paper). It didn't do anything BAD, but I'm not sure it really did anything good either.3
