We may like lip-synching to Grease, but when it becomes a mantra for the finish of our moisturizer, we feel like a beauty school dropout. Finding the right dry-touch formula is challenging, but this cream offers the right amount of moisture without any heaviness or residue. After just two weeks of use, a whopping 90 percent of study participants noticed an improvement in their skin. Looks like this is one relationship that’ll last longer than a summer.
I have fairly oily skin, especially in my t-zone so I was very excited to see this product in the January box. It was the second item I tried after the lip gloss (love!). I used the moisturizer during my pre-work morning routine and was really disappointed with it. At first the texture seemed great, but as I put it on my face it soaked into my skin immediately making it hard to spread, which meant I had to use what seemed like a lot of it to fully cover my face. It felt very sticky and then my face felt SO DRY after I put it on. My face was definitely matte and not shiny, which is great, but it felt like all the moisture had completely been sucked out of my skin. Then when I put my foundation on, it was going on so thick and cakey because, again, my skin seemed to be soaking it up. Also, for some reason once my foundation was on, my pores looked awful and my skin was really flakey and dry. Horrible, horrible. I kept it on because I didn't have time to wash my face and start over, but I couldnt' wait to wash my face at the end of the day. I haven't used it again. Total bummer as I would definitely like a good mattifying moisturizer, unfortunately this isn't the one for me :(2
Wasn't impressed by the product; did not notice a difference between this product and product I normally (Clinique).2
This product was way to thick and sticky, like glue. I have sensitive/combo skin, and after using this product, I have the worst breakout I have had since I was a teenager. One of my blemishes is approximately the size of a quarter, and the rest of my face is covered in smaller blemishes. I am not impressed, at all.2
Used as directed and was initially satisfied with the matte look and feel it gave. I tried it both with and without foundation over it. Either way, after about an hour my face felt greasy and I ended up with a mild break out on my chin:(2
I loved the texture of this product, but unfortunately I have really dry skin, and this product did not help. I did love the matifying effect; however, my skin soon felt dry right after application. If I didn't have such dry skin, I would probably use this product.2
I have combination skin, and used this on my entire face. It made the oily parts oilier, and didn't do anything to make my dry cheeks & forehead any less dry. I wasn't impressed.2
I found this product to be drying. Also I think it's very important to have SPF in your facial moisturizing products.2
This moisturizer just wasn't anything to write home about. It felt kind of sticky, which I guess is the mattifying part, maybe? I used it a couple of times and then gave it up in favor of my old standard, Clinique Moisture Surge.2
I enjoyed using the product because it did moisturize and it did matte my complexion somewhat. I have used other similar products that I feel work better so I will not be purchasing this particular product. For my skin, it work O.K.2
It does the job, but you have to be careful you don't slather it on, esp. if you have dry skin. I wish it had some anti-aging properties. FOr that reason I won't repurchase it (too expensive).2
