I have very oily skin so I was thrilled when I came across this product. I purchased it, despite never trying it, hoping it would work well. Thus far I have not been too impressed and will be looking elsewhere in the future.
The bottle is nice and one pump gives you the perfect amount of lotion but the first thing you'll notice is that it smells a little weird. My preference is for unscented facial lotions and this, while not perfume-like, has a strange smell. It's difficult to describe but it's almost like clay. This is a minor note however as the smell does not seem to linger. You'll notice it when you apply it but it quickly fades as it dries (or your nose gets used to it).
Once on it seems like any other moisturizer. It is easily absorbed and doesn't leave a residue on your skin. However it's "shine free" properties either don't exist or simply aren't effective on me. My skin produces oil and shine as if I had never used it. While it seems to be an alright moisturizer the above and beyond "shine free" claims just don't hold up. I've had better success with other moisturizers when it comes to controlling oil and shine without them marketing it as a feature of the product.
The three stars are because it is an effective moisturizer, just do not necessarily expect anything else out of it.
